Enjoy a timeless classic – Liang Xia Fen! KANGYAKU Liang Xia Fen Dessert is a traditional Szechuan dessert mainly made with rice. It is smooth and soft; when cooled and added with brown sugar, it is a great summer dessert. Now you can enjoy this traditional Chinese dessert at home with ease!
Mix 250g of the powder with 500ml of warm water. Mix until it becomes smooth paste. Leave it for 20 minutes. Boil 2000ml of water and add half of the water into the paste. Mix well. Pour the paste into the pot with hot water. Heat it with high heat for 5 minutes until it is fully cooked (make sure to keep on stirring the paste). Turn off the heat. Remove the pot from the stove. Pour the content through a colander into a bowl of iced water. When it is cold, strain off liquid from the iced water. Add brown sugar syrup or other desired ingredients if wanted.
