Book Abstract

第3章旨在描述如何运用财务报表中所得的信息及长期财务计划过程的一些基本概念。财务经理、财务分析师及证券分析师，运用共同比报表及比率分析来评估公司的财务健康状况及盈利能力。经理将会寻找在这些比率中所体现出的趋势，并与行业中的其他公司进行比较。从财务经理的角度来看，据此做出论断要十分谨慎，因为大多数的比率都是基于账面价值而非市场价值。财务计划模型是让经理对如何达到公司目标进行模拟及如何使投资决策及财务决策与公司目标相吻合的一种简单机制。本章讨论并阐释如何运用销售预测建立预测财务报表。本章的总结一是关于把公司成长作为目标的讨论，二是关于财务计划模型是如何有助于理解公司成长与公司财务和投资需要之间的关系的。

Introduction

经典教材无疑是学生的良师益友。由麻省理工学院斯隆管理学院的罗斯教授（Stephen ARoss）、南加利福尼亚大学的威斯特菲尔德教授（Randolph WWesterfield）和宾夕法尼亚大学的杰富教授（Jeffrey Jaffe）撰写的《公司理财》（Corporate Finance）一书，是财务学领域出自名师的经典教材，在欧美各大高等院校深受师生的欢迎。
能遇到经典教材是做学生的幸运。在我还是学生的时候，我的导师吴世农教授就特地向我推荐了罗斯等人编撰的这本经典教材的第4版。直到现在，我还能清晰地回味当时阅读的快乐！为了在国内推广使用这本教材，从2000年开始，厦门大学管理学院吴世农教授和沈艺峰教授接受机械工业出版社华章公司的委托翻译这本教材第5版。10年来，此书一印再印，一版再版，成千上万的莘莘学子有幸拜读此书，间接地聆听了财务学大师的教导。
从第5版开始，我就参与了此书的翻译工作，并在此后一直参与此书各版本的翻译。我本人也一直从事“公司理财”教学工作。在教学中，我深感单靠课堂讲授是无法让学生完全理解专业知识、掌握专业技能的，只有通过适当的课后练习，才能进一步加深学生对基础概念的理解和对专业技能的掌握。不仅如此，适当的练习还有助于培养学生分析问题和解决问题的能力。尽管教材本身配有思考与练习题，但美中不足的是，受篇幅的限制，习题的数量非常有限，习题难度的层次和对知识点的覆盖面均不全。因此，在国外，长期以来均有专人为这本经典教材编写配套的习题集。可惜的是，由于种种原因，配套的习题集一直没有中译本。因此，今年年初，当机械工业出版社华章公司的编辑找到我，让我主持翻译《公司理财》（第8版）的配套习题集时，我毫不犹疑地应承了下来。
这本习题集有以下几个特点：
1知识点覆盖全面。该习题集覆盖了教材中涉及的所有概念、原理和方法。通过练习，您可以全面复习和巩固《公司理财》各章节的知识点。

3内容与教材同步更新。我们此次翻译的是对应于《公司理财》第8版的习题集，相对于第7版，这本习题集同步更新了第8版新增的知识点。
