Introduction

随着韩国国力的增长，国际社会对韩国语的关心也在不断升温。不仅韩国国内的主要大学都无一例外地设立了韩国语教育机构，国外的主要大学也在加速开设有关韩国语的课程。近年来的这些变化在为韩国语跻身成为国际性语言奠定基础的同时，也极大地鼓舞了从事韩国语教育的各位同仁。目前，韩国语教育领域正在讨论的诸多课题，如韩国语教学法的确立，专业教师的培养，有效教材的编撰，韩国语能力评价等，都不折不扣地体现了为确立韩国语的国际语言地位而致力于韩国语教育事业的我们所有人的决心。
执笔此书，既是出于对韩国语教育事业的热爱，也是出于一种使命感。笔者已经在该领域从事了多年的工作，在此过程中，切身体会到撰写一本反映韩国语特性以及适应韩国语教学要求的语法书是极为迫切的课题。因此，从十年前开始，笔者就从传统的韩国语语法理论和韩国语教育实际出发，结合学生、老师、教学法、教材等诸多因素，从外语教育的角度对韩国语语法进行整理。
笔者之所以关注以外国人为对象的韩国语语法书的撰写工作，主要有以下两个原因：首先是，近来以语言交流为中心的教学法已经普遍化，但是在语言教育中语法依然占据重要部分。虽然在基础阶段首先应该具备解决问题的能力，但如果没有一定的语法能力，正确的语言交流也就无从谈起。不仅如此，如没有对语法的正确理解，从基础阶段的学习过渡到日常和专门的语言使用阶段的这一过程中，也不可能充分达到预期的目标。
