Content Description

平民出身的医科大学生巴扎罗夫与贵族子弟阿尔卡季结为好友。在阿尔卡季家的庄园做客期间，思想自由的巴扎罗夫和阿尔卡季固执守旧的伯父巴维尔发生了强烈的冲突，巴扎罗夫随即告别了这座庄园。在省城，他爱上了富孀奥金佐娃，但是遭到了拒绝，失望之下巴扎罗大回到了父母身边助父行医。然而，任一次解剖尸体时，巴扎罗夫因感染病菌而死。

Author Description

伊凡·谢尔盖耶维奇·屠格涅夫，俄国19世纪有世界声誉的批判现实主义作家、诗人和剧作家，出生于世袭贵族之家。在欧洲求学期间，屠格涅夫见到了更加现代化的社会制度，他主张俄国学习西方，废除包括农奴制在内的封建制度。代表作品：《罗亭》《贵族之家》《前夜》《父与子》《烟》《处女地》。

阿尔卡季起床之后，打开窗户，首先映入眼帘的便是瓦西里·伊万诺维奇。老头穿着布哈拉睡衣，用手绢扎着腰，正一丝不苟地在菜园里挖地。他看到了年轻的客人，便扶着铁锹大声说道：
“身体好呀！睡得怎样？”
“好极啦！”阿尔卡季回答。
“您瞧，我像那个辛辛纳图斯似的，要在这里种一畦晚萝卜。感谢上帝，现在这个时代每个人都应该用自己的双手为自己取得食物，指望别人是没什么希望的：应当亲自参加劳动。归根到底还是卢梭正确。我的先生，如果半小时之前，您会看到我的另一种全然不同的姿态。有个女人说她腹痛下坠，这是他们的说法，按我们说是痢疾，我……怎么说好呢……我给她服了鸦片；另一个女人，我给她拔了一颗牙。我要她打麻药……不过她没有同意。我做这一切都是业余爱好，不收费的。并且，对我来说也并不新奇，因为我是平民，是新人，不是出身于世袭贵族，不像我的贤内助……到这荫凉地方来待一会儿，早茶之前呼吸点儿早晨的新鲜空气好吗？”
