Content Description

《朱元璋（第1册绘画本）》：
朱元璋，一三二八年出生于一个贫苦的佃农家庭。幼时家境十分困苦，做过放牛娃，在皇觉寺里当过小和尚，还做过乞食云游僧。
至正十一年（一三五一年）各地爆发了农民起义，第二年濠州的郭子兴响应起义，当时皇觉寺被烧毁，朱元璋无处栖身，就投奔了郭子兴的红巾军。他天资聪慧，作战勇敢，深得郭子兴的赏识，将养女马氏嫁给他。
和郭子兴一同起义的还有孙德崖、彭大、赵均用等四帅，彼此经常内战，谁也不服谁。朱元璋为巩固实力，招募兵力，组建队伍，攻下滁州后，实力不断壮大。郭子兴死后，朱元璋掌管全部军务。他杀了孙德崖，联络小明王，在和元军的采石矶之战、金陵之战中节节取胜。
至正十六年（一三五六年）朱元璋把金陵改为应天府。时年二十九岁的朱元璋已经是指挥十万大军的统帅了。

《朱元璋（第2册绘画本）》：
朱元璋占据应天后，对内设立万户府，恢复农业生产，对外不断扩张地盘。他的地盘东与吴王张士诚、方国珍接壤，西与汉王陈友谅接壤，相互之间战事不断。
陈友谅国号汉，在群雄中实力*强，常约张士诚合攻朱元璋。为避免两线作战，朱元璋决定先打击陈军。他设计利用康茂才与陈友谅是旧识的关系诈降，引诱汉兵来攻应天，使其中了埋伏，朱军杀死汉兵十四万，生擒三万人。张士诚见陈友谅战败，便逃回苏州。
陈友谅再领兵六十万欲报前仇，双方水军混战，朱军用火药趁着上风向汉船放火，汉军大败。朱元璋的船被风吹搁浅，被汉兵围住，将士韩成换上朱元璋的衣服投水自殉，骗了汉军。等到朱军部队赶到，杀退汉兵。朱军里应外合，火烧汉营，陈友谅中流矢而亡，全军覆没。

《朱元璋（第3册绘画本）》：
朱元璋击破了劲敌陈友谅以后，第二个攻击目标就是东吴的张士诚。
张士诚原是个私盐贩子，乘乱起兵，苦战了数年，占据了东南一块不小的土地，便在平江自立为吴王，又把起事时的伙伴分封大城，互相策应；由于所据地区很富，实力很强，是元璋的第二个劲敌。可是士诚在称王以后，心满意足，只顾享受荣华富贵，缺少雄心大志，这就给朱元璋造成了有利的机会。
朱元璋重视对东吴的军事行动，亲自制定了战略：先除枝叶，后取根本，诸将又能正确执行。因此两年之间，取得很大胜利，先后攻取了名城泰州、湖州、杭州、嘉兴，*后分头并进，包围了平江。经过*后的苦战，终于生俘了张士诚，覆灭了东吴政权。
朱元璋取得了第二个大胜利，解除了后顾之忧，便能全力北进，发动了统一中国的*后一战。

《朱元璋（第4册绘画本）》：
明军北伐，是朱元璋统一中国的*后一战。
当时，元朝还统治着北方的广大地区，可是内部已经一片混乱。宫廷里面，有皇帝与太子的矛盾；宫廷外面，有统帅与将领的矛盾。朱元璋扫荡群雄，积储实力的时候，元朝的几支主力军正在互相内战，大砍大杀。
朱元璋看到这形势，立即掌握时机，发动北伐，制定了缜密的战略，提出了响亮的口号；在作战过程中，又几次三番亲临前线，实地观察，研究每个细小环节，补充和修正了战略。因此整个战局，都能按照计划行事，圆满完成并达到目的。
从北伐军誓师出发，仅仅花了十个月的时间，就攻下元都，收复了自五代时起沦陷了四百三十年的名城。行军之速与成就之大，是以前历史上所罕见的。
以后又进兵关陕，扫荡沙漠，击破了元军的主力，大明帝国终于稳固地建立起来了。

《朱元璋（第5册绘画本）》：
朱元璋苦战二十年得了天下。洪武四年，看到满朝文武人才济济，开国功臣占据高位，儿孙却十分文弱，不禁担心大明基业的传承。
为了保住万代江山不落他人之手，朱元璋先换掉宰相李善长，任用胡惟庸为宰相。他屡兴大狱，滥杀功臣。洪武十三年正月，胡惟庸结交文臣武将，预谋篡夺皇位失败后，朱元璋更是肆意杀戮，满门抄斩。他为此废除了中书省和丞相，大小事情亲自主持，还教太子朱标学做皇帝，马皇后和太子极力劝谏皇上，少杀戮多保全创业的功臣。
马皇后死后，朱元璋又相继将开国功臣徐达、李善长等全家诛灭。太子惊吓过度，挨到洪武二十五年病逝，此后嫡孙朱允炆立为皇太孙。朱元璋为保住大明江山，开国功臣几乎都被斩尽杀绝。
