Author Description

阿玛斯，21世纪最重要的心灵导师之一，“钻石途径”创始人。1944年，生于科威特，学术专长是物理、数学及心理学。1975年，在科罗拉多及加州创立Ridhwan学苑，学员遍布世界各地。1986年，创立钻石丛书出版社（Diamond Books）。其深度心理治疗方法在西方超个人心理学领域具有重要地位，钻石途径及研习机构（The Diamcand Heart and Training Institute，DHAT）目前仍发行有关阿玛斯教诲的录像带及录音带。
阿玛斯具有完整的现代心理学背景、丰富的个案经验，并受过最高层的佛法训练和东方修炼法门，又撷取了葛吉夫的教诲、苏菲神秘主义、金刚乘和禅宗的精髓。他最主要的贡献是将西方心理学与东方智慧整合起来，发展出一条循序渐进、直接而精准的“钻石途径”。

允许自己忍受这些坑洞，并穿越过它们到达彼岸，对现今的时代而言是更困难的事，因为社会中所有的事都在抵制它。社会是抵制本体的。你周围的每一个人，你所到的每一个地方，都在企图补洞。如果你不以同样的方式补你的洞，人们会受到威胁。假设一个人不想填补心中的洞，他会令别人更清楚地感受到自己心中的洞。
“内在工作”已经变得越来越困难，然而“内在工作”也变得越来越迫切。这就是为什么拥有一个以自我认识为己任的团体是这么重要的事。因为有许多愿意去感受自己的洞而又不企图填满它的人，都会在旁边支持你。要一个人单独去做这件事，是非常困难而又不可能的任务，因为他周遭的每件事都在抵制这份工作。
学生：你刚才提到坑洞和情绪之间有某种关联，而本体是没有任何情绪的。我不太明白这句话的意思。
阿玛斯：如果你能了解自己的感觉，就能贴近自己的本体。但这并不意味你的感觉就是你的本体。
学生：这是否意味着如果我一直都是我的本体，我就没有任何感觉了？
阿玛斯：不，不是这样的。你会有一些真实的感觉，也会有一些虚假的感觉。虚假的感觉总是来自于想填满心中的洞，也就是说，真正的感觉不见了。
学生：这么说来，存在于坑洞中的都是假的感觉哆？
阿玛斯：没错。譬如你失去了自我价值感，在某个阶段如果你和它失去了联结，就会留下一个洞。这个洞可能被经验成自卑或低自尊，然而这并不是真正的感觉。这意味着自尊或自我的真实价值不见了，这份低自尊的感受，经常会被自大的防卫机制所掩盖。但自大也不是真实的感觉，那也是一种企图藏匿什么的虚假感觉。当某人所说的话或做的事使你感到自卑时，你心中生起的愤怒也是一种虚假的感觉。这些虚假的感觉所以会冒出来，是因为你没有意识到你真正的价值，它们只是起一种补偿作用。它们显得很真实，是因为你确实能感受到它们。它们不真实，是因为你失去了真实的东西之后，它们才会出现。这是一个很重要的差别。假设你无法意识到你真正的感觉，别的东西，例如情绪，就会取而代之。但如果能体认到这些情绪的真相，你就会认清你失去的东西是什么，并且会经验到它。你一旦体认到自己真正的价值，你就会认清它与遮蔽住那份失落感的虚假感觉是截然不同的。情绪只是一种反应罢了，然而像价值这类的本体状态，却是一种“存在”的形态，它们绝不是反应。
