（六）社会性的发展
学前儿童社会性的发展主要体现在言语的掌握和运用、亲子交往、同伴交往和性别角色等方面。语言是儿童进行思维和社会交往的工具，探讨语言的获得可以为儿童心理发展的基本理论提供依据，为理解思维和语言的关系提供资料。同时，亲子关系、同伴交往和性别角色的发展是学前儿童社会化的重要途径，对其发展趋势和规律性的探索，有利于全面把握儿童个性形成的机制，有利于对儿童心理发展历程的理解。
三、学前儿童发展心理学的研究任务
（一）揭示学前儿童心理发展的特点和规律
学前儿童发展心理学研究工作的第一步即描述儿童心理发展的事实，通过观察、调查等方法收集儿童各种心理现象发生、发展的基本情况，如了解儿童的动作是怎么发展变化的，掌握感知觉、记忆、思维、情绪、个性等出现的时间、发展的步骤和阶段，弄清儿童的语言是怎样获得又是如何发展的，并进而建立学前儿童发展心理学完整的概念体系。
在掌握学前儿童心理发展的事实的基础上，要进一步探讨其心理发展的特点和规律。儿童心理的发生、发展既有一般的顺序或模式也有其年龄特征，学前儿童并不是一出生就具备了人类的各种心理过程，其各种心理过程的发展是有一定的顺序和方向性的，这些顺序和发展方向带有客观规律性，是不以人们的意志为转移的，各个年龄阶段会有规律地出现各自特有的、与其他年龄阶段不同的、典型的心理特征。另一方面，虽然同一年龄阶段的儿童无论在身体还是心理方面都存在着共同的发展趋势和规律，但对于每一个儿童而言，其发展的速度、发展的优势领域、最终达到的发展水平等又可能是不同的。此外，在研究儿童心理的时候，既要考虑到不同文化环境对儿童的影响，也要分析在人类文明下共有的心理发展模式。总之，学前儿童心理的发展变化是复杂的，但也是有规律可循的，分析探讨这些特点和规律，是学前儿童发展心理学肩负的重要任务。
