1．经济运行总体平稳，增长速度有所下滑
总体来说，2012年经济发展的宏观形势属于偏紧，全国经济增速年初出现逐步回落，到9月份开始才呈现出稳中升的态势，但国际经济低迷不振、国内长期积累的结构性矛盾，以及经济周期性减速问题相互交织，使长三角地区的经济发展经受到了比较严峻的考验。
2012年的经济增长速度，上海为7．5％，江苏为工0．1％，浙江为8％，安徽为12．1％，总体来说三省一市的经济发展仍然保持着比较高的增速，其中安徽的经济发展尤为突出。与年初各地政府工作报告提出的增速目标比较，上海和浙江两省市实际发展情况低于预期，安徽和江苏两省实现年度目标。
从年度内变化来看，上海、江苏、浙江两省一市2。工2年度内经济运行态势与全国相反，呈现逐季略有回升的向上发展势头，安徽省经济运行态势与全国基本相同，前降后升。
长三角地区拉动经济增长的“三驾马车”出现不同程度的回落。其中，出口下滑较为明显，消费增长低于预期，投资强度开始减弱，因此导致经济增长速度相对上年进一步放缓，并且降至2008年国际金融危机以来的最低点。
从各省市看，2007年上海市经济增速在三省一市中处于领先地位，但从2008年起下滑到最后一位，而安徽省经济增速则开始一路领先，江苏省经济增速居第二位，浙江省经济增速居第三位，三省一市间的经济增速格局延续至20工2年。全国比较，20工2年上海市经济增速低于全国，位于我国大陆3工个省（市、区）后列，但与全国经济增速的差距比上年缩小，江苏、浙江和安徽三省经济增速均高于全国水平，安徽省经济增速上升至我国中部地区第一位。
