Author Description

赛尔吉欧·佛朗歌（SERGIO FRANCO），现为美国旧金山州立大学（San Francisco State University）电气工程教授。他生于意大利的弗里矣雷（Friuli），获伊利诺伊大学（University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign）博士学位。在就任现职之前，Franco博士已有过很广泛的工作方面的经历，在诸如固态物理学、模式识别、电子音乐、集成电路（IC）设计、医学电子、日用电子和汽车电子等领域工作过，发表论文颇丰，Franco博士还是Electric Ciruit Fundamentals（Oxford University Press，1995）这本教科书的作者。除了从事教学工作外，他还在工业界从事咨询顾问工作。

第1章运算放大器基础
术语运算放大器（operational amplifier），或简称为op amp，是在1947年由John R．Ra9—azzini命名的，用于代表一种特殊类型的放大器，经由恰当选取的外部元件，它能够构成各种运算，如放大、加、减、微分和积分。运算放大器的首次应用是在模拟计算机中。实现数学运算的能力是将高增益与负反馈结合起来的结果。
早期的运算放大器是用真空管实现，因此笨重，耗电大并很昂贵。运算放大器第一次显著小型化是由于双极性结型晶体管（BJT）的出现，这导致了用分立BJT实现运算放大器模式的整个一代。然而，真正的突破出现在集成电路（IC）运算放大器的开发，它的元件是以单片的形式制造在只有针尖头那么大的硅芯片上。第一个这样的器件在20世纪60年代初由神童半导体公司（Fairchild Semiconductor Corporation）的Robert J．Widlar研制出。在1968年，Fair—child推出了运算放大器从而成为工业标准，这就是普遍流行的A741。

Introduction

尽管近30多年来以大规模集成工艺为依托的各种数字电路的问世，逐渐代替了各种传统的模拟电路的应用领域，但是物理世界毕竟还是模拟的，与物理世界各种现象的接口仍然需要靠模拟电路来承担。即便在某一功能块中，模拟电路所占份量可能很少，但是这一少部分或许是整个系统就设计和实现来说最具挑战性的部分，而且往往在系统性能上起着关键作用。尤其是当速度和功率成为至关重要的因素时，模拟电路就更显突出。总之，模拟电路并未因数字电路的兴起而被淘汰出局，因此在大学本科阶段，有关模拟电路内容的教学不应偏废或误导，它仍然是电子工程类专业的核心课程内容之一。
运算放大器和各种模拟集成电路是应用最为广泛的一类模拟器件。随着集成度的提高、性能的改善，愈来愈受到人们的青睐；在工业控制、遥控遥测、仪表仪器等领域成为不可或缺的器件。本书以此为背景全面系统地论述了由运算放大器和模拟集成电路构成的各种电路原理和实现方法，特别是讨论到在实际电路实现时出现的各种实际问题及其解决方法，并给出不少具有实际参考价值的经验设计关系；这些在国内同类型的参考书中不太多见。这是一本在涉及运算放大器应用方面相当好的参考书。
本书的中译本由于笔者的原因延误了半年多，甚感愧疚。后来幸得朱茂林、荣玫二位同学的帮助才得以同读者见面，否则还要继续拖延下去。从第3章3.3节起至第9章结束由朱茂林翻译出初稿，荣玫则承担了从第10～13章的译文初稿。在接受这项工作时，他们都还是应届毕业班的在读学生（他们均于2003年9月进入西安交通大学研究生院直接攻读博士学位），第一次接触译书工作，难免会有这样或那样的问题。但是总的来说，他们的英语水平和专业水平都是很不错的。笔者对译文初稿逐字逐句作了校勘和修改，如果译文中仍有错误或不妥之处，当属笔者责任。
