前言

《电力系统分析与设计》（第4版）是美国电力系统专业的教材，不仅在国外电力界非常畅销，而且也深受中国电力界读者的青睐。原书之所以广受欢迎，最为突出的一点是实用性。该书将基本理论与实用案例有机结合，实用案例贯穿于全文，通过电力系统可视化分析程序（PowerWorld Simulator）直观生动、全面透彻地解析电力系统的基本概念、电气模型和分析计算，大大激发了读者学习的兴趣。

基于此，我们慎重地推荐《电力系统分析与设计》（第4版）一书，原书已经成为海外电力界畅销的经典教材，中译版无疑也将成为我国电力系统专业技术人员及在校师生的重要参考资料。在保证原书完整性的同时，我们结合中国电气工程学科专业教学的特点，在中译版中做了如下调整：

1）“案例分析”部分删除。原书这部分共包含17篇论文，这些论文主要关注的是美国电力系统的发展历史，多属于概述性的论文，在做了认真比较后，本书保留了其中3篇关于当前电力系统最新发展方向的论文，置于新增章节，详见第二点说明。

2）新增一个章节“第14章引申篇”。此章节旨在介绍当前国内外（大电网）电力系统主要关注或研究的方向，让读者有机会了解当前电力系统的最前沿的研究动态。其中包括4篇国内论文，分别为《关于广域测量系统及广域控制保护系统的评述》《我国发展大规模非水可再生能源发电的前景》《电力系统振荡的可视化研究》和《现代电力与FACTS&DFACTS技术》，以及3篇英文论文（源自原书“案例分析”），分别为《Visualizing the Electric Grid》《WACS—WideArea Stability and Voltage Control System: R&D and Online Demonstration》和《RealTime Dynamic Security Assessment》。

最后，感谢机械工业出版社和原书作者格洛弗、萨尔马和奥弗比同意该书在中国出版发行。特别感谢奥弗比博士，他多次来广西电力工业勘察设计院交流讲学，还特意为该书的中文版题写序言。感谢本翻译组成员黄伟、颜永红、马玉林，广西电力工业勘察设计研究院数字电网研究中心的覃晖、王志军、张婧、黄丽娟、江兴月、牛文娟、覃惠玲、乔可、郭振威、骆玲、刘然、聂独、蒋春芳的努力。本翻译组历时两年，为翻译此书投入了大量的时间和精力，全部译稿由周双喜老师审校。在此一并表示感谢。

王庆红原书序原书序本书的目的是提供电力系统分析和设计的方法，特别是借助于计算机，向大学生深入地讲解基本理论。在激发学生对电力工业方面兴趣的同时，致力于改善学生的思考方法，使他们对电力系统设计有一个深入的理解。因为我们相信基本物理概念是创造性设计的基础，并组成了工程教育中最有价值和永恒的部分，所以我们在适当关注数学技巧的同时注重突出物理概念。由简单的情况开始建立的理论和模型就比较容易向新型、复杂的情况拓展。

伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳香槟分校的Thomas J. Overbye，被邀请为本书该版本的合著者。他是PowerWorld Simulator（PWS）的创始人之一，该软件包用户界面友好，尤其在电力系统分析仿真可视化方面有很大优势。本书内容将与该软件包有机地结合在一起。Overbye教授在电力系统运行、控制、稳定性、计算和教育方面的经验有利于确保本书能够与时俱进，并适合于学生。

该版本还有以下特点：①除了沿用以前版本的3个案例研究外，修订了10个章节的案例研究，描述了当今的实际应用，内容涵盖正在进行的电力企业的重组；②升级的PWS软件包；③更新了2~9章的习题。

工程教育最有挑战性的方面之一是让学生对他们研究的系统有一个直观的感觉。工程系统大部分是非常复杂的。笔头练习对于掌握基础知识非常有用，但这种方法不能培养学生的直观洞察力。本书附赠的CD中含有的PWS软件包原书所配光盘的数据文件，请访问机械工业出版社教育服务网www.cmpedu.com，在本书相关介绍页面上获取。，就能让学生建立起这种直观的感觉。本书中用这个软件来演示所有基于计算机的例子、习题和课程设计。

PWS诞生于伊利诺伊大学厄巴纳香槟分校，最初用于将电力系统的基础知识传授给电力工业中的非专业人员，1.0版本问世于1994年6月。这个程序的交互式和图形化的设计，革命性地改进了传统的教育工具，而且出现了一种有趣的现象——它的交互性和图形化的设计同样吸引了从事实际电力系统分析的工程师。为了满足日益增多的用户需求，1996年成立了PowerWorld公司，该公司的成立实现了PWS的商业化。在保留它对教育方面的吸引力外，几年间PWS已经发展成为了一个能够求解任何大小电力系统问题的顶尖分析软件包。PWS现在在整个电力工业得到了广泛应用，用户覆盖高校、各级电力公司、政府管理者、电力交易人员和咨询公司。

我们把PWS与正文有机地结合在一起，用PWS扩展了以前版本中提供的全部例子，而不是简单地代替它们。因此，除了求解规模过大导致无法计算的情况之外，每个PWS例子在用PWS案例求解的同时都给出了详细的手工求解。这种格式使得学生既能看到一个问题如何求解的细节，又能同时看到求解方法的计算机执行过程。PWS的另外一个优势是它易于扩展案例。通过它的交互性设计，学生可以快速改变案例参数并且立刻看到这些改变对求解结果的影响；同样，运用新参数重新运算案例，学生就能得知他们是否真正理解了求解的过程。教师也可以方便地利用PWS交互性和可视化的设计在课堂内展示案例。通过CD中包括的很多例题和习题案例，教师很容易证明书中的很多理论主题。PWS的其他功能将在本书的例题、习题和课程设计中介绍。

本书全面涵盖了大学四年级和研究生一年级的两学期或四分之三的课程。而对于只有一学期的课程，灵活的章节结构使教师们能充分自由地选择要讲解的主题。丰富的求解案例覆盖了本书的大部分理论点，而且该版本中还扩充了通过计算器求解的大量习题，以及用计算机求解的习题。

作为本书的预备知识，要求学生已经学习过一些基本课程，例如电网络理论（包括暂态分析）和基本的微分方程，并且已经接触过线性系统、矩阵代数和计算机编程。另外，阅读本书前虽然不是必须要求学习过电机学课程，但如果上过这门课程将是很有帮助的。

本书第1章首先介绍了电力系统发展的历史、现状和前景。第2章则作为基础帮助学生对术语进行了一个简短的回顾，主要复习了相量、功率、单相和三相电路的概念。

第3~6章介绍了变压器、输电线路参数、输电线路稳态运行和运用牛顿拉夫逊方法的潮流求解。这些章提供了对在对称三相、稳态和正常运行条件下的电力系统的一个基本理解。

第7~10章覆盖了对称故障、对称分量、不对称故障和系统保护，这些都属于电力系统短路保护的内容。

第11章是关于电力系统控制的独立一章，包括涡轮发电机控制、负荷频率控制、经济调度和最优潮流。

第12、13章介绍了输电线路的暂态运行，包括涌流保护和暂态稳定性，其中暂态稳定性包括了摇摆方程、等面积法则和多电机稳定性。这些章节都属于电力系统暂态方面的内容。
