作者：（美国）戴维·霍瑟萨尔（DavidHothersall）郭本禹译者：王申连魏宏波朱兴国等戴维·霍瑟萨尔（DavidHothersall），俄亥俄州立大学的名誉教授。出生在英国，后于1965年来到美国，并于1968获得田纳西大学的博士学位。自此，他一直住在俄亥俄州。他为本科生和研究生讲授心理学史课程，并获得了许多教学奖项，包括“俄亥俄州杰出教学校友奖”。除了心理学史，他也很喜欢为高年级学生讲授心理学导论课程。他写作并发表了大量关于学习和记忆的论文，并于1984年出版了一本心理学导论教材。1990至1998年期间，他是俄亥俄州立大学荣誉课程部的主任。如今，他不仅在俄亥俄州立大学教授本科生和研究生的心理学史课程，他还为俄亥俄卫斯理大学的高年级本科生讲授心理学史。郭本禹，安徽肥西人。1964年生。心理学博士。现为南京师范大学教授、博士生导师，兼任中国心理学会理事、理论心理学和心理学史分会副会长、《心理科学》、《心理学探新》和《心理研究》编委。在《心理学报》、《心理科学》等刊物上发表论文120余篇，出版专著、译著30余部，主编《德育心理学丛书》、《外国心理学流派大系》等10多套大型丛书。主持国家、省部级课题10多项，获得省部级科研、教学奖励10项，其中一等奖各2项。2002年被列入江苏省“333新世纪科学技术带头人培养工程”第二层次培养对象，2007年被列为江苏省“333高层次人才培养工程”首批中青年科技领军人才。
