Book Abstract

我的直觉告诉我：如果一种教育方式让你觉得是人性化的，是温暖的，而不是强权的、功利的，那么就去做吧；如果一种学习方法是调动孩子的全部感官来体验，让他自己做出结论，而不是机械的、重复的，那么就去做吧。
我的理智告诉我：不同的年龄有不同的教育方法，没有一条放之四海而皆准的原则，也没有一劳永逸的灵丹妙药。任何一个良好行为习惯的养成都没有捷径，都是漫长而曲折的。
所以，这次我不再有任何具体的育儿目标，虽然我仍然希望她能到美国读最好的大学，但我无法左右孩子的兴趣，所以我无法决定将来的大方向，我能做
的就是让她忠于自己的选择，选择自己真心热爱和充满激情的路去冒险、去闯荡。当然啦，如果能和为娘我的
希望恰好相同的话，那自然是再好不过啦。但是，抽象的目标，或者确切地说，就是我们选择怎样的生活方式，成为怎样的人，目前是非常明确的。
比如，我希望芊热爱生活，充满好奇心，有想象力、创造力，思维灵活不死板，有冒险精神，独立坚强，不伪善，有同情心，有公共道德，并有正常的社会能力。
而怎样达到这个目标，除了多看育儿书和爸妈们的博客，不断给自己充电外，也要根据孩子的反应慢慢摸索、调整。这是最难、最需要耐心的部分，也是孩子受益终生的部分。
中国目前应试型的教育体制，我改变不了，只能接受。但我可以不是被动地接受，而是积极地改变自己能改变的事情，把不利的因素变成对自己有利的因素。在家里则用自己的方式，也就是体验动手游戏的方式，来支持并帮助孩子强化在学校学习的内容，开阔她的思路，而不是限于条条框框之中。
我的具体做法就是和孩子一起在阅读写作﹑艺术手工、英语学习﹑数学能力、地理历史、科学知识、音乐、旅行探索、身体运动以及各种技能（观察力、想象力、创造力、建构力、表达能力、社会能力、生活技能）等领域探索学习，以孩子的兴趣为主导，全方位立体地使用各种资源，设计各种承载上述内容的、孩子能亲自动手体验的游戏，在其中不着痕迹地引导。这种引导不是灌输知识，而是启发思考。总之要调动孩子的全部感官，以孩子的体验贯穿始终，从而让他们根据自己的经验做出判断，去思考，去学习，在快乐的游戏中不知不觉就获得了某种能力。我特别喜欢一个美国妈妈博客里的一句话：we‘vecreateda lifestyleoflearning ofsorts。也就是我们中国人说的活到老学到老，但是和我们中国人不一样的是，他们不是学海无涯苦作舟，而是享受学习过程本身。怎样做到这点呢？playtolearn！也是我们中国人那句老话：寓教于乐。其实没有错误的学习，只有错误的学习时机和学习方法，所以要随时根据孩子的反馈调整自己的方法，循序渐进。
在书中我为各个手工游戏创设了情境，进行了拓展，特别适合对于“手工”二字一筹莫展的妈妈们，也欢迎读者朋友多贡献好主意。也许你会觉得我涉及的东西很多，其实各个领域的学习内容虽然不同，但是你会发现所有好的游戏方法都有一个共同特点，那就是：源于生活，可应用于生活。在跟孩子一起做手工游戏的过程中，妈妈们要学会融会贯通，交相呼应。而最最重要的原则是：这个学习的过程是快乐的，是享受的，是以孩子的体验过程为主的，而不是要达到某种目的。你想要的结果会通过这些点点滴滴的体验游戏，慢慢显露出来，所以把目标放得长远些，基础越扎实，你所想要的结果就越扎实。我们希望孩子拥有的是卓越的创造力、非凡的想象力以及灵巧的动手能力，而不是具体的某个“大象”做得是否真的像“大象”。
