《汉英中介语BE动词习得研究》在系统介绍国内外现有的英语BE动词习得研究的基础上，重点描述、分析和解释了中国英语学习者在习得英语BE动词的过程中所遇到的各种困难。BE动词形态复杂、功能繁多。历来是我国学生的学习重点和难点：《汉英中介语BE动词习得研究》作者采用语料库与实验相结合的研究方法。定量和定性分析了我国学生使用英语BE动词的情况，并针对两种典型的汉英中介语现象——BE动词省略和过度使用，提出了两大汉英中介语规则。《汉英中介语BE动词习得研究》还探究了BE动词习得与英语“时体”系统习得的关系，总结了我国学生习得英语“时体”特征的普遍规律。
对汉英中介语BE动词的研究，尤其是针对BE动词变异性的分析，不但具有较高的理论价值，而且对英语教学也具有重要的启示意义。在理论方面，本研究表明中介语语法是自成体系。并且受到各种因素制约的自然语法。在实践方面。《汉英中介语BE动词习得研究》总结了学习者在习得BE动词及相关结构的过程中可能出现的问题.并据此提出了相应的教学措施。
《汉英中介语BE动词习得研究》的读者对象为英语专业高年级本科生、语言学及应用语言学方向的研究生、各类院校的英语教师以及对语言习得研究感兴趣的读者。

Author Description

张妍岩，武汉大学外国语言文学学院英文系副教授、硕士生导师。中南大学英文系英语本科和英语语言文学硕士，香港浸会大学英国语言文学系语言学及应用语言学博士。研究兴趣主要包括二语习得、应用语言学、语料库语言学和世界英语等。于2003年到2004年在香港浸会大学语文中心做访问学者，参与洪同年教授主持的科研项目“香港高等院校英语学习者中介语语法研究”。近年来在国内外刊物上发表过多篇语言学和应用语言学方面的研究论文，多次参加国际和国内的学术研讨会并宣读论文。目前参与研究的项目包括国家社会科学基金项目“中国学生语体能力发展研究”和武汉大学人文社会科学“70后”学者学术发展计划项目“新形势下的英语语言文学与文化研究”。

Book Abstract

第二，采用以语料库为基础的方法来研究学习者中介语语法中反复出现的、系统性的、非目标语的BE动词使用情况。此步骤建立在前人研究结果的基础上，并且具有具体的研究假设和研究问题。
此步骤的目的是为了分析造成BE动词变异性的深层原因。为此，笔者调查了前人在文献中所提及的因素，如母语迁移、发展性因素和环境因素等。本研究将分析这些因素的作用，试图找出哪些因素会对BE动词的变异性产生较大的、更加持久的影响。前人曾对BE动词的变异性，特别是省略和过度使用两种现象，提出过各种解释，但是前人研究大多采用的都是语法判断测试数据和控制性诱导任务数据。本研究将采用大量的、自然的学习者语料库数据对这些解释进行验证，并致力于提出更加合理的有关BE动词变异性的解释。
综上所述，本研究综合利用了以数据为基础和以理论为基础的研究方法，采用学习者语料库数据进行分析，利用语言学理论和其强大的解释力来进行解释。本研究将重点分析系统性的中介语BE动词变异情况以及与BE动词相关的中介语结构。影响BE动词使用的各种因素都在调查之列，前人采用非语料库方法所得出的结论、提出的假设等都将在本研究框架下得到检验。
在进入下一章之前，笔者必须进行一个相关说明。尽管本研究将把中介语和目标语进行对比，其目的仅仅是为了发现两者之间的差别以提供参考信息，而不是建议或者暗示二语学习者应该在使用频率和其他方面必须完全遵循目标语模式。换言之，本研究进行的是一个对比中介语分析（Granger，2002）。因此，关于某特征的过度使用和使用不足的信息不应该被当做中介语语法“不完整”的证据。此态度与中介语理论的精髓是一致的，中介语应该被当做一个独立个体进行研究，研究者要小心出现“对比荒谬”。
