在酒店门口，两人真正地道别了，最后一次。王悦在转身离去的刹那补了一句一直很想对林小蕾说的话：“我一直很想念你”。没想到林小蕾的反应太快，一句“metoo（我也是）”让王悦觉得她不假思索地说出来是出于一种习惯，而不是真实的感觉。
其实没有岁月是可以回头的。林小蕾问：“我做错了什么吗？”
王悦说：“没有，只是很早以前你选择了这种生活。”
回酒店的路上王悦感觉很轻松，觉得这么多年过去，终于在此地此刻真正把林小蕾从心中完完全全地放下了。自己和林小蕾之间的爱情也许早就已经不知不觉地死掉了，就像自己的青春和许多美好的梦想，随着岁月的流逝，一点一点，仓惶老去一样，只不过自己一直固执地不愿意承认罢了。
到家的时候，王悦从裤袋里摸出那支林小蕾的发卡，把玩了一会儿然后打开窗户扬手扔到外面的雪地里。外面早已经白茫茫的一片银白，发卡落地的时候没有听到一点声息，它就那么悄无声息地消失在王悦的视线里。
雪花从敞开的窗子里疯子一样地窜入。王悦伸手抓了几片，看它们在掌心里无声无息地融化，突然想起了自己已婚多年的妻子，想起了京师，也恍惚间想起了自己这几年走过的路。
记得曾经有过很多的理想，王悦大一的时候就为自己设计了一条通向牛逼的康庄大路——读完中国最好的大学，然后去美国读那里最好大学的博士，然后找一个喜欢的人结婚，再然后生一个像自己或像林小蕾一样聪明伶俐的孩子……许多年过去了，倒也实现了一些理想，正在努力着一些理想。意外的是，现实居然会让人必须放弃一些理想。

都说70后也许是建国后最幸运的一代。孩童时不用忍饥挨饿、不用吃毒奶粉地沟油；少年时正值港台文化的黄金年代，又没有国产山寨文化的毒害；在“文革”后商业化之前社会充满正能量的80年代长大；在学费暴涨前上完了学；在房价飙升前又买了房。且不说这些网络话语是否适用每一个人，但对于我这个纯正的江南子弟而言，确实是在孤单一人的状态下长大的，以至于进了北方的大学后居然成了同学中极少数的“独生子女大学生”。现在看来，当年在大学的种种遭遇，都与这种身份有或多或少的关联。
而且，我们这代已过期的大学生确实处于中国社会转型期的一个重要时段。那时候，正能量的熏陶还非常明显，但日后为害社会健康肌体的强大毒素那时也出现了端倪，尽管破坏力还不算很大。
从招生说，九十年代的大学生，既不像八十年代那样凤毛麟角，也不像扩招后那么泛滥成灾，而是介于两者之间。八十年代，招生过于严酷，堵死了许多高考落榜者的后路，也逼得进入大学的幸运儿成了天之骄子，到哪里都不会轻易放下架子。扩招以后的大学生，根本扛不住“膨胀后就会贬值”的规律，身价陡然走低，到如今也沦落到弱势群体阶层去了。而九十年代中期，大学生虽没有了多少天之骄子的心态（最多在大一新生的欣喜目光里可以找到些许余绪），但毕业即失业的现象还没有成为那么严重的社会现象，大部分人还可以找到个过得去的工作。
从师资说，当时有恢复高考后成长起来的一代学者，那时他们已成为中坚力量。这些人中像如今易中天、于丹这样能说会道口吐莲花的不在少数。所以“逃课不逃觉”的现象尽管那时也已经很严重了，但主要还是逃那些讲课不行又不能激发学生学习兴趣的课。那时候真能在不少人的课上学到东西，也是个不争的事实。更重要的是，当现在大部分八零后九零后都感叹未能亲身体会大师亲临的强大气场时，九十年代中期的青年学生却还有机会经常与许多老先生当面交流，使人不能不承认命运的分配并没有公平原则可言。进入新世纪后，那些经历过“文革”劫后余生又能称得上大师的老先生基本已经作古，更遗憾的是他们的衣钵大部分很难说后继有人了。
从人际关系说，那时候已经较诸八十年代变得错综复杂，明争暗斗比比皆是。许多学生干部俨然是官场中人，非常善于拉帮结派搞关系。但那时候，这些学生干部得到的实际利益不是很大，校园和社会提供的空间还不至于让学生干部们有中饱私囊的可能。
说实在的，每当到了社会转型的十字路口，会令人不知所措地彷徨，也会使人左右逢源地明睿，全在于是用执其一端的固执来面对它，还是用兼收并蓄的豁达来应用它。
也许那个时代的许多同龄人并没有那么自觉的意识，不过那个时代的大学生却实实在在地受惠于这十字路口的四通八达。七零后能渐渐成为现实中的中坚力量，这一点非常重要。所以从这个意义上来说，我们这一代大学生是幸运的。
但问题是，事情往往有另一面：我们这代大学生如今渐渐成为中流砥柱了，那么眼前这一些恶我们这一代到底有没有参与？参与了多少？参与的程度如何？现在的不理想、不如意的状况，我们究竟要负多大责任？
关于这一点，我没有答案，只说一点浅见。
我在工作之后，耳闻目见了许多丑恶之事鄙陋之人，却发现自己多多少少还是可以理解或者说谅解的，却唯独对大学时候见识的无耻之事无耻之人始终无法谅解。为了这点我思考了很久，这部小说可以说就是自己思考的结果之一。
因此在小说里，我没有放弃对正能量的描述，也没有放过对当时一些恶人恶事的揭露。也就是说，当大部分我的同龄人在遇见现实无奈而感叹“青春无悔”的同时，我却站出来大呼“青春也无耻过”。这么做未免有点煞风景，也有被人指责过于矫情的嫌疑，但那恰恰是我的真实感受。讲深一点，就是到底是“青春”的价值观立脚点，使得“青春”的东西一旦接触社会现实就会“恶化”呢？还是说某些“青春”的东西，会使得社会现实必然“恶化”呢？
对此我同样没有答案。
回想当年自己大学四年，经历的事可真不少。说那四年是自己人生的一个高峰，恐怕并不为过。至今，许多事情与人说起，还说得眉飞色舞的，当然也时常被好友同窗拿来做茶余饭后的谈资笑料。朋友们的撺掇，特别是大学时代许多朋友的鼓励，直接导致了这部小说的问世。
话说回来，头一遭写小说，又是个长篇，幼稚和可笑看来是避免不了的了。如果读者一不小心遇见了，那么随手翻一翻，也许会有一点点回味的。
