《如梦令》：
来到京城的那年我十五岁，我怀抱瑶琴走进那座偌大的府院，攀摇的疏枝装点着高耸的府墙。院内修竹遮日，亭台临月，碎石铺就的小路蜿蜒曲折，爬满湿湿的青苔。它让我想起家乡济南的青石小路，柳枝低垂在路的中央，浣衣而归的姨娘们踩着湿塌塌的脚步回到柴门半掩的小院，邻家的犬吠唤醒了沉睡的婴儿，一声哇哇的哭啼响彻在傍晚的炊烟之中。
父亲从后面追上我，接下我手中的瑶琴，三五个仆人拥上前，垂手侍立左右。“照儿。”叫我的应是我的继母大人，她清婉的模样让我想起早逝的亲娘。
这是我第一次和她相见，可在我的记忆中并不感觉疏离，父亲在家信中多次提及，叮嘱我要礼奉娘亲。对我亲生母亲遥远的思念这一刻终于有了妥帖的落角。
“娘。”我脱口而｝H的称唤打动了在场的每一个人，连我的同父异母的兄弟都怔怔地看着我，生怕我真的抢走了娘亲的眷爱。
我手中的纸鸢是娘舅送我的一只蜻蜓，翠婉的纱翼上沾着清晨的露珠，红色的眼睛盯着我的弟弟。他显然被它打动，一动不动地看着它，连母亲的推唤都不能将他叫醒。
“喜欢它？”我将目光转向我的弟弟。
他抬起眼睛看着我，虽不语但心迹表露无遗。
“那就送给你。”我把风筝举过头顶，“知道怎么玩吗？在有风的清晨，跑在旷野之上，转动风轮，将线慢慢地抛出，看它飘摇着飞上晴空，你一路跟着风跑啊跑，仿佛你也飞了起来。”显然，他被我生动的描述打动了，拼命点着头，像是马上就体会到飞的滋味了。我把风筝递过去，却被一个像我一般大的女孩子伸手扯住。
“你是？”我看着她。她瞪着我，黑色的瞳眸闪烁着冷冷的光泽。
继母忙过来介绍：“这是你表姐王婉。”我略作沉思，恍然想起父亲在信中提到过这个表姐，是继母哥哥的孩子，因生母病故才被继母带到李家，过着寄人篱下的生活。在审视这个女孩的时候我发现自己已经长大，因为她不友善的行为让我嗅到了一种来自同性间的排斥与敌意。在我之前，弟弟的世界中只有一个姐姐，而从此刻起，将有另一个姐姐来分享长辈的宠爱和同辈间的友谊。
“我叫清照，叫我照儿好了。”我将风筝送到她手里，“如果你喜欢就拿去吧，弟弟想要我再让舅舅捎一个来。”王婉看着那个美轮美奂的蜻蜓，却转过身对弟弟说：“我才不稀罕什么风筝不风筝，你喜欢你要好了。”说着跑向花园深处。弟弟怔怔地看着我，又看看风筝，嘴里说着：“谁稀罕你的风筝。”也转身跑走了。我呆呆地立在那里，看着被拉扯得有些松散的风筝，心里泛出莫名的酸楚，脸上却笑盈盈地看着父亲和继母：“算了，以后我们一起玩好了。”父亲拍拍我的头。继母拉拉我的衣襟：“还是照儿懂事，不要和弟弟他们一般见识。”我点点头，心里却生出奇异的恐惧。自来到京城的第一天，这恐惧就伴着我，成了浮在我心头的阴霾。
我的住处叫缘东阁，离父亲居住的有竹堂并不远。一楼是书房，卧室在二楼。钩心斗角，花木扶疏，窗几明净，真是一个清幽之处。我将瑶琴放在琴榻之上，来到书案边，看着远景近室，提笔欣然写起字来。
父亲走上前，捋着胡须叹道：“照儿的字越发进步了。”我抬头看着父亲：“爹爹让女儿二岁识字，三岁抚琴，四岁吟诗，五岁作词，卷不离手，曲不离口，真要把女儿培养成琴棋书画样样精通。可女儿愚钝，到如今才能吟点诗作点词，自娱自乐，偶尔讨父母一笑，哪能拿得出手？恐怕贻笑大方。”“女儿此言差矣，你生来就是文君转世，班昭再生，喜爱文墨，独赋琴曲，父亲并没有勉强你，天分使然，并非妄言。女儿，把你新近的大作让为父赏析一下，看我儿长进了没有？”
