陈俊人的粉蝶
那可能是世界最动荡的一年，大战结束，可是内战继续，陈家住在沪市，一到晚上，警报响起，长而凄厉的呜呜声传出，市民便自动拉密窗帘，着孩子们立刻关灯上床睡觉。
俊人那年十三岁，正迷上读武侠小说，一听熄灯，大觉没趣，并不了解事情严重性，他不是一个出色的少年，疏懒但活泼，功课中下，不过讨人欢喜。
他父亲去年初已到雍岛去了，与母亲约定，一找到工作以及住所，便接他们母子南下，但是母亲踌躇：外婆舅舅阿姨全在沪市，听说雍岛讲一种似鸟叫的方言，十分难学，她一直拖延。
终于不得不收拾行装，母亲同外婆说：“我去去就回。”
外婆不出声，只是微笑。
后人的大哥树人在燕京大学读化工系，这个梳飞机头穿皮夹克的高大年轻人反对父母离开沪市：“国家需要用人，我不会走。”
后人还有一个七岁小妹，爱哭，脸上老带着大颗眼泪，头发稀疏，被老佣人扎成细细两条辫子，翘在耳畔，相当丑陋，亲友都深信她不容易出嫁。
后人对雍岛一无认识，但是父亲曾寄来塑胶卷笔刀及小盒子装模型车，都是新奇玩意。
树人说：“雍岛是英帝国主义的殖民地，”他向弟弟结实帝国主义，以及印度决意独立的故事：“英帝有系统地剥削印度两百年，把人家的天然资源刮得一干二净，印度连生产一枚针的本事也无，只得向英国高价回购……”
后人喜欢与大哥谈天，但他对武侠小说更有兴趣，她对大哥说：“立虹约我上山拜师学武。”
树人笑：“沪市没有山。“
“我们上武当山找绿袍老祖。”
“你肯定老祖住武当山？”
“如不，直往昆仑山。”
树人大笑。

这时，母亲自外边回来，“树人，你要的计算尺子雍岛带到了。”
树人十分高兴，一时忘记可恶的帝国主义，拆开一看，欢呼：“正是我要的大小。”
后人走近，只见一把尺裹套着另一把尺，可以左右移动，尺上密密麻麻写着数字，他看不懂。
大哥把尺放回剑套般的长条盒内，对后人说：“将来给你用。”
母亲说：“你爸催我们动身。”
“你带弟妹去吧，我尚未毕业。”
“你爸说你可往英国升学，燕京同哈佛大学有联系。”
“嘿。”大哥不再说话。
那边，望妈正在替小没梳头，忽然邻家太太探头警告：“快关上门，罗宋瘪三来了。”
王妈忙去掩门，可是已经来不及，有一只脚夹住门，王妈一点同情心也无，紧紧推着门。
大学生陈树人看不过眼，“王妈你这是做什么，好不野蛮，快打开门。”
王妈没好气，“那大少爷你来应付。”
门一开，一个穿缎裙的女子靠在门框上雪雪呼痛，陪着笑，伸出手来。
后人早已看惯，她们是白俄，国家内战，子极北之地一直流浪到沪市，渐渐财物都用尽，沦为乞丐。
沪市在太平时节讨饭的人都特别多，不用说是此刻。
亲友在傍晚上来陈家坐着，不说为什么，也没有要求，一直笑嘻嘻，坐到人家吃晚饭，不好意思不添上筷子，做多一碗菜，招呼他们：“菜不好，请多添饭”，吃完才走。
满街是伸手讨钱的老人与孩子，有些还有残疾，后人见过一个像小妹般年纪女孩，脖子上脓疮同头一样大，自此母亲骂他脓包，他有特别反感。
母亲给些碎钱那女子，她还不愿走，“太太，”她会说沪语，“太太，给些吃的。”
王妈于是给她冷饭。
她咕咕地笑，“有米合伙面包吗？“
后人进去厨房装了一小罐白米，走到门口，递给她。
她说：“谢谢。”声音稚嫩。
后人抬头，看到一个少女，年纪同他差不多，可是比他高一点，身上缎裙破烂污秽，不知多久没有替换，漆皮鞋子已开老虎口。
她像是北一个豪华舞会赶出来，一直由家乡走到沪市，没有停过。
关心不一
她疲倦饥渴憔悴，仍撑着走，一头金发似稻草般干枯。
王妈在身后说：“还不关门？”
俊人把门关上。
王妈嘀咕：“下次，会要求给五花肉及蹄膀。”
小妹写了“乞丏”两字，俊人说：“是乞丐”，他写给她看，又问大哥，“为什麽叫白俄？”
树人答：“十三世纪之际，该地区叫立陶宛，十六世纪始，叫白拉鲁斯，俗称白俄罗斯，叫他们白俄，等于叫我们支那人。”
“啊。”俊人明白了。
“叫白俄的原因不详，也许，与沙皇自称“白沙”有关，他穿上白袍以兹识别，因罗马皇朝穿紫袍，拜占庭皇穿红袍。”
母亲笑，“树人学了不少常识。”
“俄国内战，罗曼洛夫王朝倒塌，列宁抬头，贵族流放逃难。”
王妈听得入神，“前些日子，有罗宋人自称是大公。”
树人说：“大公，即王子，公主，叫女大公。”
王妈摇摇头，“太太，我去做饭，吃饭最重要。”
小妹忽然问：“之后呢？”
俊人没好气，“还有什么之后？”
“之后，”小妹说：“公主与王子怎样？”
树人拉拉她小辫子，“你们去雍岛，大哥留下为国家做事。”
陈太太生气，“胡说，一家人一定要在一起。”
俊人说：“立虹讲，峨眉山有剑仙。”
各人关心的事不一样。
树人趁空闲在皮夹克领子上打小小铜钉，一整排，闪闪亮，后来，他穿上它，在燕京大学门口铜狮子像前拍过一帧黑白照，俊人一直觉得，没有人比那时的大哥更加英俊。、
当日有铜钉剩下，树人帮妹妹裙边上钉，日后，这条丝绒裙成为小颖人对大哥唯一的回忆。
陈太太对王妈说：“我带你一齐去。”
“我在浦东有亲眷，怎么舍得。”
“那谁帮我忙，我一个人哪里做得过来。”
“太太你怎么去雍岛？”
“要乘三日三夜火车。”
那天晚上，又拉警报，飞机胡胡声在空中飞过，黑暗中妹妹又再哭泣，俊人想，呵真讨厌。
第二天他去上学，背着书包一转角便看到昨天来讨饭的俄罗斯女孩。
他凝视她，雪白皮肤，不显脏，可是指甲捆黑边。
她向他伸出手。
是，昨日给过，今日肚子又饿，真无奈。
锻裙上还缀着蝴蝶结，舞会似尚未完结，裙裾已经磨烂。
俊人轻轻把便当盒子送给她。
“谢谢你。”她说：“我叫安娜。”
俊人并没有同她做朋友的意思，他匆匆上路。
那天，俊人挨饿，放学回到家中，打开纱橱找到大饼油条，狼吞虎咽。
母亲与王妈对着着剥毛豆，主仆已有十多年感情，无所不谈，“今朝路过废墟，又看到有人吧婴儿丢在垃圾堆上”，“尚有气息否”，“想是没有了，但也不吓人，像睡着一样”，“唉”。
抬头看到俊人，“你肚子饿？”
“我写功课去。”俊人借故躲开。
那边，陈太太轻轻问：“你可觉得异样？”
“……笑嘻嘻，好言好语，说：“大婶，不要搓麻将了，新社会不允许赌博，会罚你们的呢。””
陈太太静一静，“那么，把牌收起来吧。”
“别家没那么听话，派人守在弄堂口，一有动静，好通风报训，可是他们不知有什么办法，一下子就站在牌桌前，仍然满面笑容：“大婶，不要再打牌了。””
“多大年纪？”
“同树人差不多岁数。”
这时俊人探头出来，“妈，大哥可回来吃饭？”
“他回学校去了。”
俊人好不失望，“他说教我溜冰。”
陈太太想起，“对，他问要两双溜冰鞋，一男一女，大概是有女朋友了。”
