敢于披荆斩棘者自然会有，但是大多数人都选择了待在家中过安稳的日子。如果你去冒险，就有可能发生很多意想不到的事情，而大多数时候你都会遭遇不测。
即便是在今天，在撒哈拉沙漠地区、中东和东南亚的部分地区，墨守成规的心态依旧十分盛行，人们喜欢说：“我们过去怎么办，这次就怎么办吧，因为这是规矩。”这种故步自封的轮回几代人都没有打破，这些家庭和部落往往都是生活最为贫困的民众。

那些经历了千辛万苦才来到美洲的移民发现，等待他们的并不是原来想象的沃土，而是起早贪黑的辛苦劳作。我的曾祖父唯一能找到的工作就是在美国马萨诸塞州的皮茨菲尔德的采石场里搬石头，每天要挥汗如雨地干16个小时，其艰辛程度比囚犯都好不到哪里去。曾祖父就这么拼死拼活地干，好不容易才能填饱肚子，找到一个睡觉的窝。因为很快就结婚生子，所以曾祖父想要继续留在皮茨菲尔德的可能性是很大的。
当你获得一些成就之后，即便是很小的成就，你都不愿去冒险打破现状，这种心态也是人之常情。
人人都会想，我都已经有这些收获了，干吗还要去冒险呢?谁知道山那边的老虎是不是更凶呢?还是别去为宜。
