Content Description

《大家小书·诗论》讲述了朱光潜先生（1897-1986）是我国著名的关学家、文艺理论家、翻译家和教育家。他一生著译宏富。安徽教育出版社1987年出版的《朱光潜全集》凡二十卷。在这些著作中，《诗论》是他的代表作之一，也是学界公认的我国20世纪学术经典之一。现在北京出版社把它收入“大家小书”丛书重新出版，这是很有眼光的，也是很有意义的。
《诗论》初稿写于1931年前后，是继《文艺心理学》之后的又一部大作。当时朱先生在英法留学。1933年朱先生回国，经好友徐中舒介绍，结识了北京大学文学院院长胡适。在读过《诗论》初稿后，胡适立即决定聘请朱先生出任西语系教授，主讲西方名著选读和文学批评史，并请他在中文系主讲“文艺心理学”和“诗论”。后来朱先生转入武汉大学工作期间，陈通伯又请他在该校中文系讲过一年“诗论”。
Author Description

朱光潜，笔名孟实，安徽桐城人。美学家、文艺理论家、翻译家，我国现代美学的奠基人和开拓者之一。曾任北京大学、四川大学、武汉大学、安徽大学等院校教授。参与筹办《文学杂志》，并任主编。新中国成立后，任中华全国美学学会会长、中国社会科学院学部委员、中国作协顾问。曾翻译柏拉图《文艺对话集》、黑格尔《美学》、艾克曼所辑《歌德谈话录》等；著有《给青年的十二封信》、《谈美》、《西方美学史》、《诗论》等；有《朱光潜全集》（20卷）行世。
