高莽，著名俄罗斯文学翻译家、作家，1926年生于哈尔滨，曾用笔名乌兰汗。长期从事俄苏文学研究、翻译、编辑工作和对外文化交流活动，同时从事文学与美术创作，是中国社会科学院荣誉学部委员，俄罗斯作家协会名誉会员，俄罗斯科学院远东研究所名誉博士，俄罗斯美术研究院“荣誉院士”，曾荣获俄罗斯总统授予的“友谊勋章”。著有《圣山行——寻找诗人普希金的足迹》《俄罗斯美术随笔》等。译有普希金、叶赛宁、阿赫玛托娃、马雅可夫斯基、帕斯捷尔纳克、曼德尔施坦姆、阿列克谢耶维奇（2015年诺贝尔文学奖得主）等作家的作品。高莽也是才华横溢的画家，所画的普希金、赫尔岑、果戈理、托尔斯泰、高尔基、奥斯特洛夫斯基、索尔仁尼琴等人的肖像。

Introduction

亚历山大·普希金被俄罗斯人誉为诗歌的太阳。他虽然只活了不到三十八岁，但他留下的诗歌、小说、剧本、散文、童话等蔚为大观，可谓俄罗斯生活的百科全书。两百多年过去了，历史变化沧桑，改朝换代，你来我往，人事更迭频繁，但普希金依然故我，学校里还在学习他的作品，成年人照旧喜欢背诵他的诗歌，舞台仍然上演他的戏剧，很多历史人物的雕像被新的一代俄罗斯人铲除，可是普希金的雕像照旧岿然不动。
普希金之所以不朽，是因为他的思想符合历史的发展。他的作品表达了前进力量的观点，他有预见性，也有超前的看法。他的作品，被译成多种外国文字。我国为迎接他两百周年诞辰甚至出版了他的译文全集，这是世界上绝无仅有的事。
普希金的文学创作掩盖了他其他方面的才华，如美术世界上没有人称普希金为画家，但他的绘画作品绝不能被忽视。他一生中画了无数作品，保存下来的就有1500多幅。诚然，普希金生前从未把绘画作为本业—没有举办过画展，没有出版过画册，可是他死后，他的画竟成了俄罗斯普希金学的专家们研究的一个重要项目，而且越来越深入。仅我所见的有关著述就有以下几种：
《肖像画家普希金》—1946年，苏联国家文学博物馆出版社出版，艾弗罗斯编选；
《飞笔》—1974年，莫斯科“苏维埃俄罗斯”出版社出版，穆扎编选；
《普希金的信笔画》—1980年，莫斯科艺术出版社出版，齐亚夫洛夫斯卡娅编选；
《普希金画中的世界》—1988年，莫斯科工人出版社出版，克尔采利编选；
《普希金肖像画》—1996年，俄罗斯科学院俄罗斯文学研究所编选。
普希金的画，零零星星地分散在文学作品手稿中、笔记本中、友人的纪念册中和书信中。
他的画涉及面很广，有插图、有题花、有风景、有花鸟、有动物、有武器……尤其是肖像画最多。他不仅用笔墨画自己，也画他心爱的女人、他崇敬的英雄、他的诸多朋友。他有喜爱的外国文学家，同时也有厌恶的人。
我反复研读他的肖像画，觉得其中大部分是凭记忆完成的。这些肖像寥寥几笔画在他正在写作的手稿旁，显然是他在思考某个人或某些事时信手画出来的。那些人物当时不在场，他无法写生，而他又想倾泻他的感情—爱恋或者憎恶，于是一幅幅惟妙惟肖、带有一定夸张性的肖像便留在纸上了。普希金具有强烈的观察人物特征的视觉能力，有惊人的视觉记忆力，有高超的绘画表达能力。他在绘画方面确实也是个天才。
