《八旗子弟》
盛春，凌晨，钟鼓楼雄浑的轮廓刚隐约映现在浅浅的晨光中，报晓的钟声嗡嗡地敲响了。什刹海南侧几条胡同都是一片沉寂，忽然响起马嘶声，兴化寺街一处大宅门打开了，顿时昏暗的胡同被府内门廊的灯光照亮。一位年近五旬、脸上蓄须的中年人，身着四品官服，正整理着顶戴花翎，准备出发。他是我的爷爷，觉尔察·崇志，今天破例要进宫上朝。
我奶奶那年才三十出头，也早早起床梳妆整齐站在爷爷身边，愁眉苦脸地几次劝说：“老爷，不要进宫了吧？那小德张可真不是好惹的，听我哥哥说他现在是满朝文武无人不惧的人哪。你要告他，别惹了大祸呀！”手提朝靴站在一旁的管家金贵也忙插话说：“崇老爷，新帝登基以来，听说朝政都是太后管着，义听说太后最宠太监总管小德张。老爷您上朝告他，还足得多掂量一下啊。”

寂静的占城街巷，一辆孤独的马车在街上行进，金贵手提朝靴随车奔走。
紫禁城的东华门在昏暗的晨光中，恰似一匹兽在等着我爷爷的到来。
当我爷爷走进灯盏明晃的东华门内候朝阁时，猛地停住了脚步，因为他惊讶地看见阁内木椅上坐着他的上司内务府邵大人。邵火人也是年过五旬，蓄须，着正三品官服，大概在冷清已久的候朝阁等了有个时辰，正微闭双H养神呢。我爷爷忙跨前一步，行礼，朗声道：“六库郎中觉尔察·崇志参见内务府邵大人。”
只见邵大人微睁双眼，嘴角一笑，说：“免啦。崇志啊，你正白旗和我镶黄旗如今那是小人手下的患难兄弟，还讲什么官礼呀！”我爷爷走到邵火人身边，轻声说：“邵大人，您一定也是知道那个小人今天不在宫里”邵大人苦笑一声，回道：“今天，他在安定门内那总管府宴请拜把子兄弟江南提督张绍轩，就是张勋那小F.崇志老弟，现在连我见太后都得绕开这个小德张哟！”
似有股妖风吹过，阁内玻璃灯内的烛火一时飘摇闪忽不停。
门外候着邵大人的内务府随员急步跑过来，悄声说：“大人，宫内说话也是隔墙有耳。如今上上下下大小太监全是张总管的人哪！”邵大人正色道：“我就不信这个邪！”随员又说：“邵大人，崇大人，您二位大人可别见怪，在下是怕弄不好今儿个二位人人见不到太后哇。”邵大人和缓地回了一句：“知道了，你下去吧。”顿时，玻璃灯内烛火也就平稳了许多。
我爷爷站起身，从袖内掏出一本奏折，对邵大人说：“邵大人，实不相瞒，我今大要面见太后，就是要上木弹劾太监总管小德张。请大人指教！“邵大人轻轻挥手，言道：“罢了，我不看r，坐吧。”说罢，微笑着看着我爷爷，又道：“足我八旗的正宗，跟我一样，咱偏不怕那小子。好！崇志啊，你知道，我已经三次弹劾小德张了，本本据实啊。咱们内务府同僚谁不清楚，他依仗降裕太后宠信，自兴修延禧宫西式铁楼开始，到醇亲王载沣王爷府改建，多少工程啊！就只说在内修建佛殿一项，他就敢核销二百余万两啊！小德张借大兴上木之机，虚报账日，大肆贪污，巨额敛财。身为三品总管，在外头开当铺、开商号捞钱享福就不说了，可在宫里头结交军门，干涉朝政，营私舞弊，打压忠良……嘿！难道大清朗就容这小予败坏了吗？”
我爷爷先是“呸”了一声，才愤愤不平地说：“天理不容！”
邵大人叹口气，才说：“我真想不到哇，参本三次才得到太后一句话。”我爷爷忙问：“人后怎么讲？”邵人人道：“太后说，一个穷太监，就让他弄俩钱花去吧，崇志啊，咱是告不倒他呀！”
