Book Abstract

人生的幸福在很多时候是得自于看起来无甚意义的事，例如某些对情爱与知友的缅怀，例如有人突然给了我们一杯清茶，例如在小路上突然听见水果店里传来一段喜欢的乐曲，例如在书上读到一首动人的诗歌，例如听见田间地头的老妇说了一段充满启示的话语，例如偶然看见一朵酢浆花的开放……

人生的幸福来自于自我心扉的突然洞开，有如在阴云中突然阳光显露、彩虹当空，这些看来平淡无奇的东西，是在一株草中看见了琼楼玉宇，是由于心中有一座有情的宝殿。

如果能有较从容的心情、较有情的胸襟，则能把乱麻的线路抽出、理清，看清我们是如何的失落了青年时代对理想的追求，看清我们是在什么动机里开始物质权位的奔逐，然后想一想：什么是我要的幸福呢？我最初所想望的幸福是什么？我波动的心为何不再震荡了呢？我是怎么样落入现在这个古井的呢？

最好的人生是五味俱全，有苦有乐、有泪有笑、有爱有恨、有生有死、有低吟有狂歌、有振臂千仞之岗也有独怆然而泪下，酸、甜、苦、辣、咸，此起彼落。想一想，如果面对一桌没有调味的菜肴，又如何会有深沉的滋味呢？

痛苦或死亡是人人所不愿见到或遇到的，但若不能深刻品味痛苦，何尝能找到平安喜乐的滋味？若不能对死亡有所领会，又如何能珍惜活着的时候呢？

也许在真实的人生里面，我们回顾过去的点点滴滴，色彩会慢慢褪去，到最后只剩下淡淡的黑白。我们想不出在离别的冬夜中，以前的伴侣穿什么颜色的衣服，只记得在那条暗黑的长巷中，惨白的街灯把影子拉得很长，天气冷得令人畏缩，巷子里只有两条被生活压扁的影子。甚至于，这些生活经过岁月风霜的涤滤，在我们苦痛的梦中，根本是没有颜色的。

我们常说人生是多彩多姿的，在我这些年的心境上感觉到人生的色彩是如此薄弱，到最后只留下黑白两色。有时候我们自己拿着调色盘面对这张黑白的画都不知道要怎么上色，踌躇了半天，天色暗了，满天都是白色的繁星，连月光下的大地都是一片黑白的清冷。

我们生命里面不如意的事占了绝大部分，因此，活着本身是痛苦的。但扣除八九成的不如意，至少还有一两成是如意的、快乐的、值得欣慰的事情。如果我们要过快乐人生，就要常想那一两成好事，这样就会感到庆幸，懂得珍惜，不致被八九成的不如意所打倒了。

人具有两种本质，一种是极为壮大开阔的，一种又是极端的渺小和卑微。在心念广大的时候，我们可以欣赏一切、涵容一切，可是比照起我们所能欣赏与涵容的事物，我们又显得太渺小了。

这个世界是相对的，时间空间的改变，使我们对事物的看法改变，禅心也是如此，它不是用来改变生活的，而是看清生活的真实。与“禅心”相对的是“凡心”，也就是凡俗的心，是一般人眼见的世界，是迷惑于世界的变幻，禅者不同的是在这种变幻中看到了真如，体会了不动的一面。

一件事物总可以两面来看，如果只看一面往往看不见真实的面貌，因此，自我观点的争执是毫无意义的。进一步地说，这世界本来就有相对的两面，欢乐有多少，忧患就有多少；恨有多切，爱就有那么深；祸兮福所倚，福兮祸所伏；所以我们要找到身心的平衡点，就要先认识这是个相对的世界。
