海报招贴设计是为达到某种宣传效果或传递某种信息而进行的艺术设计。
海报招贴设计是由图片、文字与色彩所构成的画面，海报的色彩、种类、风格都起着决定性的作用。风格是构成画面统一的隐性元素，色彩决定着海报给人的感觉，种类则是海报的大体分类。

在当今社会，海报已经成了人们生活中的一部分，各类公共场所都会出现许许多多的海报，而人们可以从上面得到自己想要了解的信息。海报招贴设计大致上分为三个应用领域：商业、电影、公益。
1. 商业海报设计
商业海报设计是商家为了宣传自己的产品或者公司形象所设计的海报。其主要目的是为了吸引人们的眼球，使人们记住该公司的产品或形象。同时商业海报更新换代的速度也比较快。
2. 电影海报设计
电影海报设计主要是起到宣传电影的作用，使人们可以通过海报看到电影中的精彩画面，从而达到增加票房收益的效果。
3. 公益海报设计
公益海报设计是对人们内心深处的道德、美德进行唤醒，使人们可以变得更有爱、更文明、更环保。因此，公益海报更具创新性。
海报招贴设计的点、线、面 1.3
点、线、面是平面设计中的基本元素，点是组成图形的基础，线是由点串联形成的，而面又是由无数条线所构成的。
点具有双面性，既有积极性，又有消极性，积极性是点能形成视觉重心，消极性是点也能使画面杂乱无章。线分为直线和曲线，直线给人一种规则、正直的感觉，曲线给人以柔美的感觉，通常用曲线来形容女人的身材，只有曲线与直线相结合，才会使画面更多样，更具有装饰性。面是由点与线组成的，又不同于点与线，面有大小、形状之分，面与面的构成关系有很多，也正是因为这样，画面才会更加丰富多彩。

在几何学中，点是没有大小与形状的，但是在平面设计中，点不仅有形状和大小，而且还有色彩。点可以在海报中形成视觉重心，增强海报的视觉冲击力。
线 1.3.2
线是由点的运行所形成的轨迹，又是面的边界。线具有很强的表现性，可以勾勒出很多简单的或者复杂的图形和图案，在造型中起着十分重要的作用。
面 1.3.3
面是由线运动构成的，有大小与形状，却没有厚度，但是可以通过明暗不同的面来制造出立体的效果，面与面之间也有着很多的构成关系。例如：分离，指两个面分开，各自在空间里呈现自己的状态；覆叠，指一个面叠压在另一个面上，可以营造出层次感。

艺术性原则 1.4.2
艺术性主要是通过色彩、线条以及图形来表现的，也就是指海报的美感。一张海报要是没有了艺术性，那么它也不会成为一张精致的海报，所以在设计海报的时候，如何使用点、线、面这些元素则变得尤为重要。
内涵性原则 1.4.3

海报是现今一种比较大众的宣传方式，如何使自己设计的海报在众多的海报中脱颖而出，吸引人们的眼球？根据这一难题提炼出了海报招贴设计的六大法则：比例、平衡、反复、渐变、强调、和谐，下面就对此进行一一介绍。
比例 1.5.1
海报的色彩构成、海报中的图形与文字都有着和谐的比例。和谐的比例可以使画面看起来更舒服。黄金比例则是最具美感的比例，所以在大多数的海报中都会运用黄金比例。
平衡 1.5.2
平衡无处不在，所谓平衡指的是一种相对稳定的状态，当我们观看一张海报的时候，会不自主地去寻找一个相对稳定的点。所以在进行海报构图的时候，也要找到一个点，使得画面看起来平衡。
反复 1.5.3
