溯源
一、源于嬴姓。相传西周时，周穆王的驾车大夫名叫造父，是嬴姓祖先伯益的后代。造父在华山一带得到八匹千里马，进献给了周穆王，穆王乘坐这八匹千里马拉的车子，由造父驾车周游天下。有一年，周穆王乘着这辆车来到西王母居住的昆仑山游玩，正玩得高兴，却接到东南方的徐偃王起兵造反的消息，于是穆王急忙往回赶。造父驾着马车，日行千里，终于及时赶回了都城镐京，发兵平定了叛乱。穆王认为这次平乱中造父有功，就把赵（今山西洪洞北，一说今山西赵城西南）赐给他作为封邑，造父的后代就以赵为姓氏。
二、在古代的匈奴人、越人以及现在的白族、藏族、瑶族等少数民族中也有赵姓。
郡望
天水郡：西汉武帝时置郡，治所在平襄，故城在今甘肃通渭西南。此支赵氏的开基始祖为赵襄王太子赵嘉。
颍川郡：秦时置郡，治所在今河南禹州。此支赵姓人的开基始祖为西汉京兆尹赵广汉。
历史名人
赵云：三国时蜀国将领，字子龙，常山真定（今属河北）人。初依公孙瓒，后归刘备。曹操攻荆州，刘备在当阳长坂大败，赵云力战救出刘备的夫人和儿子。后又从刘备取成都，定益州，夺汉中，骁勇善战，屡立大功，官至镇东将军，死后追封顺平侯。
钱
溯源
源于彭姓，是以官职命名的姓氏。周朝有官职名钱府上士，掌管财政，遂以官为姓氏。相传为古帝颛顼后代彭祖之孙彭孚。一说彭祖姓篯名铿，其后世子孙将其姓去竹字头而改姓钱。
郡望
下邳郡：东汉置郡，辖境相当于今江苏西北和安徽东北的广大地区。
吴兴郡：三国时置郡，治所在今浙江湖州吴兴区，辖今浙江临安、余杭一线西北，兼有今江苏宜兴等地。
历史名人
钱镠：五代政治家，后梁时被封为吴越王。在位期间，曾征发民夫，修建钱塘江海塘，治理太湖，疏浚西湖，建设苏州、杭州两城，对江浙地区的开发有很大的贡献。
钱一本：明朝易学家，江苏常州人，官至御史，因触怒明神宗被贬为民。他精研河图、洛书、六经，尤精《易》，和顾宪成在东林学院讲席。
