Author Description

伊索（公元前620年--公元前560年），是公元前6世纪的古希腊的一个寓言家，生活在小亚细亚。弗里吉亚人。伊索寓言大多是动物故事，其中的一部分(如《狼与小羊》《狮子与野驴》等)用豺狼、狮子等凶恶的动物比喻人间的权贵，揭露他们的专横、残暴，虐害弱小，反映了平民或奴隶的思想感情；《乌龟与兔》《牧人与野山羊》等，则总结了人们的生活经验，教人处世和做人的道理。伊索寓言短小精悍，比喻恰当，形象生动，对法国的拉封丹、德国的莱辛、俄国的克雷洛夫都产生了明显的影响。

卢郁，主要从事新闻工作和文学翻译，已出版《安德鲁·卡内基自传》《伊索寓言》《意大利经典童话》等多部译著，并参撰《外国名诗鉴赏辞典》等多部著作。

Book Abstract

狐狸和乌鸦
饥饿的乌鸦在森林里发现了一块儿肉，便叼回窝准备饱餐一顿。
刚好有一只狐狸从这里经过，抬头看见了乌鸦嘴里的肉，馋得直流口水。
狐狸装出一副崇拜的样子，向乌鸦打招呼：“这不是乌鸦老兄吗，你好埃”
乌鸦装作没听见。看到乌鸦并不理他，狐狸依然很恭敬地对乌鸦说：“森林里要举行歌唱比赛，你去不去看啊？”
听到这个消息，乌鸦很兴奋，他刚想回答，突然想到嘴里的肉，便不作声了。狐狸继续说道：“世界上最动听的歌声就是乌鸦的。”
“那当然。”听到狐狸的赞美，乌鸦得意忘形，可话还没说完，嘴里的肉就掉下来被狐狸叼走了。
狼来了
在一个小山村里，住着一个放羊的小男孩儿，每天太阳升起，他就赶着全村的羊去村外的一个山坡上放羊。太阳落山时，他再把羊群赶回家。
日复一日，老是做同一件工作，小男孩儿觉得很乏味。于是，他想让村里的人都注意到他。
这一天，小男孩儿赶着羊群来到山坡上，他看看四周没人，就对着村子大声喊道：“救命啊！狼来了！狼来了！”
村民们听见呼救声，赶紧向山坡上跑去。可到了山坡上，大家看到羊群正在悠闲地吃草，小男孩儿正躺在草地上休息。
“狼呢？狼在哪里？”村民们焦急地问男孩儿。小男孩儿心不在焉地答道：“狼被我打跑了呀。”
没过几天，小男孩儿觉得大家都来观注他很好玩，于是又对着村子喊起来：“狼来了，救命啊１
村里人听见了，都急匆匆地跑上山坡，可还是看到孩子跟羊群都很好，并没有什么狼。大家都不言不语地回家了。看到大家都不理他，小男孩儿很惭愧，心想以后再也不骗人了。可就在这时，羊群突然乱了，羊被吓得四处逃窜。不远处正有一只狼在虎视眈眈地看着羊群。
小男孩儿吓坏了，拼命大喊：“狼来了！狼来了１村民们听见了，都认为男孩儿又在骗人，于是大家照常劳作，没有人去救他。
小男孩儿看到村民都不来救他，非常后悔自己不该履次骗人。他气喘吁吁地跑回村子，对着劳作的村民喊：“狼来了！快去救羊！”
可没有人理他。小男孩儿着急地大哭起来，他一边哭，一边说：“你们就再相信我一次吧，这次狼真的来了１
看到小男孩儿急成这样，村民们才觉得这次可能是真的，于是大家又跑上山坡，看到羊被狼咬死了好几只。小男孩儿充满歉意地对大家说：“对不起，我再也不撒谎了，请大家原谅我。”
狮子和蚊子
在茂密的大森林里，狮子凭借着凶猛成为动物王国里的国王。做了国王的狮子以为自己天下无敌，所以经常欺压小动物。小动物们都打不过他，只好听凭他的摆布。
可蚊子不服气，他向动物们宣布，将向狮子挑战，战胜国王。消息一传出，整个森林都轰动了。
挑战的日子很快就到了。狮子早就听说蚊子要来挑战，但并没放在心上。蚊子首先站出来，大声说道：“大王，我很佩服您的勇猛。”
狮子哈哈大笑说：“是吗？”他以为蚊子怕了。可是蚊子继续说道：“但勇猛是一回事，威信是一回事，凭勇猛欺压百姓并不能建立威信。”
狮子的脸挂不住了，说道：“等你战胜我再说这些吧。”在狮子看来，他只要吹一口气就能把蚊子吹死。
“如果我战胜了你，你要爱护森林里的动物，不能欺压我们。”蚊子大声说道。
狮子早就不耐烦了，一下子扑到蚊子面前。可是，蚊子轻轻扇了扇翅膀就飞到了狮子脸上，狠狠叮了他一口。
狮子感到脸上又疼又痒，便用爪子去抓，把脸抓得鲜血淋漓，却怎么也找不到制服蚊子的办法。看到狮子狼狈的样子，动物们都很高兴，于是劝蚊子停手。蚊子说：“只要你答应从今往后不再欺压动物们，我们就结束战斗，你依然做你的大王。”
狮子万般无奈，只好答应了蚊子的要求。森林里的动物都欢呼雀跃。可是，就在大家夸赞蚊子天下无敌的时候，谁也没有注意到，那个刚刚战胜森林之王的勇士正被孤零零地粘在蜘蛛网上，动弹不得。一只小蜘蛛正缓缓地爬向他。蚊子竟然成了蜘蛛的晚餐。
