Author Description

托马斯·皮凯蒂（Thomas Piketty），
法国著名经济学家，巴黎经济学院教授，法国社会科学高等研究院研究主任，主要研究财富与收入不平等。
1971年生于法国上塞纳省，18岁进入巴黎高等师范学院，学习数学和经济学。22岁以一篇关于财富重新分配的论文，获得博士学位。
1993—1995年，在麻省理工学院经济学院任副教授。
1995年，加入法国国家科学研究中心，担任研究员。
2000年，在法国社会科学高等研究院担任研究主任。
2002年，荣获法国**青年经济学家。
2006年，联合创立了巴黎经济学院，并担任**任院长。后在法国总统竞选中，担任社会党候选人塞格琳·罗雅尔（Ségolène Royal）的经济学顾问。
2007年至今，在巴黎经济学院执教。
2013年，荣获两年一次的Yrj· Jahnsson奖，该奖项颁发给45岁以下、对经济学研究做出突出贡献的欧洲经济学家。

2014年年底，经我的恩师丁一凡教授（国务院发展研究中心世界所研究员）之荐，受中国人民大学出版社曹沁颖女士之托，我着手翻译法国经济学家托马斯？皮凯蒂的《不平等经济学》一书。
实际上，“不平等”和“不平等经济”是一个世界性的课题。要从区域与国别而言，“不平等”问题在盎格鲁撒克逊文化国家，如美国和英国，表现尤为突出。这恐怕也是皮凯蒂的《21世纪资本论》一书在2014年先在美国受到青睐的缘由所在。
《不平等经济学》一书共包含4章，分别为：不平等的衡量及其演变、劳资不平等、劳动收入不平等和再分配工具。
第1章“不平等的衡量及其演变”，从收入的不同类型入手，到不平等的历史演变，中间分析了我所称的“三重不平等”——工资的不平等、收入的不平等及时空的不平等。
第2章“劳资不平等”，指的是劳动与资本之间存在的不平等性。在我看来，本书第2章实际上将劳资不平等分为“静态”与“动态”两个态势加以分析：“总收入中资本占比”一节属于静态，“资本分配之动态”一节自然属于动态。“总收入中资本占比”一节，作者阐述了劳资替代问题以及长短期理论是否妥协的问题；而“资本分配之动态”一节，作者不仅论述了完全信贷与趋同理论，而且也分析了资本市场的不完全性问题。
第3章“劳动收入不平等”，第一节阐述了我所称的“二重不平等”，即工资不平等与人力资本不平等，具体涉及人力资本理论解释能力、如何再分配工资，以及人力资本不平等从何而来。第二节“工资不平等之社会决定因素”，不仅分析了工资构成中的工会角色、雇主的独家收购权，还将效率工资与公正工资加以区分阐述。
本书在第4章“再分配工具”中，将再分配从两个角度——纯粹再分配和有效再分配——加以分析。纯粹再分配论述再分配平均率与边际率和公正的税收再分配；而有效再分配则有两个“挂钩”：一个是将再分配与社会保险挂钩，另一个是将再分配与需求挂钩。
身为法国人，皮凯蒂的研究重点却放在了美国的经济构架与财富再分配上。其实，这种现象在法国经济学界并不多见。在我看来，与大部头的《21世纪资本论》相比，袖珍本的《不平等经济学》，其实更为言简意赅，似乎也更能准确地体现出皮凯蒂“独辟蹊径”的非常规研究精神。难怪《法国图书评论简报》对《不平等经济学》一书如此称赞：“本书之所以脱颖而出，是由于其内容独特，尤其汲取了英美国家的最新研究成果，并将其巧妙地加以综合。”
而今，中国恰好处于社会转型的关键阶段，财富的创造与积累正以前所未有的速度发展前进，随之而来的财富“分配”与“再分配”难题，也必将成为中国社会进一步发展过程中不可逾越的一个“坎儿”。谨鉴于此，这本中文版译作之他山之石，若能起到抛砖引玉之功效，便也不枉费我数月对本书翻译之辛劳。
本译文拙作，皆为工作忙碌、生计奔波之余所译。仓促而就，若有不当与不妥之处，还请读者多加指正为盼。
