Author Description

杨志玲，白族，云南大理人，历史学博士，云南大学副教授、硕士研究生导师。主要从事地方经济史、少数民族问题等领域的研究工作。近年来，先后在国内核心学术刊物上发表了《明清时期云南茶业经济探析》、《民国时期云南茶商及其经营特点》、《毛泽东民族经济思想初探》、《农村少数民族家庭养老模式面临的挑战及对策》、《儒家道德文化在云南少数民族地区的传承途径》等学术论文10多篇，参著参编著作6部，主持省级社科科研课题2项。

也有按由北往南分为保山、临沧、普洱、西双版纳四大茶区的。若按现今行政区域划分云南的省内茶区，云南茶区又可分为八大二级茶区，分别为：
普洱茶区：普洱茶区地处亚热带，境内山峦叠嶂，原始森林遮天蔽日，奔腾不息的澜沧江穿越其境。普洱茶区种茶历史悠久，境内至今还有大片保护良好、种类齐全的野生型、过渡型、栽培型古茶树和茶园。2700多年的镇源县千家寨野生型古茶树，上千年的澜沧拉祜族自治县邦崴过渡型“古茶树王”和景迈山万亩人工栽培型千年古茶园，使这个茶区成了闻名中外的“古茶树博物馆”。历史上，由于普洱茶区与西双版纳茶区地域相连，有很长一段时间处于同一辖制，同为中国名茶——普洱茶的原产地。如今茶叶生产已成为普洱市的支柱产业之一。2007年普洱市茶叶总产量为45942.4吨①，居全省各州市茶叶产量之首。普洱茶区名品众多，经过最近几年的发展，茶叶产业化的格局基本形成。
临沧茶区：临沧茶区作为茶树起源地的核心地区，素有“山有多高，水有多高，茶有多高；干凉同季，雨热同季，冬无严寒，夏无酷暑，四季如春”之美誉，特别适宜于茶树的生长。全区236万人口中，有150多万人与茶叶生产有关，是名副其实的产茶大区②。全区茶园大多分布在海拔1000－2200米的山地上③，连绵不断，蔚为壮观。

Introduction

说起茶叶，今天的人们早已熟知，它是世界第三大饮料之一。其实，在历史上，茶叶的重要性和地位远不止此，值得我们加以重新认识。
我国发现和利用茶叶的历史较为悠久。早在远古时代，就有神农氏“以茶解毒”的记载。汉代，又有了关于茶叶交易的记载。不过，在中唐之前，茶叶主要是作为药物使用和作为高级奢侈饮品在社会上层饮用。到了中唐，随着社会生产力的发展，特别是农业生产的进步，茶叶从野生采集转而大规模人工种植。一时之间，植茶、养茶遍及大江南北。就茶叶的生产种植而言，它有三个显著的特点：第一，茶叶生产不像盐、铁生产那样需要很大的投资，每户个体小农，只要条件具备，都可以在房前屋后种植。这一点与小农家庭的分散性和细小性恰相适应。这是茶叶生产影响面广和能够迅速发展的重要原因。第二，茶叶生产与粮食生产不同，农户从生产和种植那一天开始，便主要不是为满足自身的消费而种植，它是面向市场的一种生产和种植。这极大地推动了我国农村商品化的进程。第三，茶叶从生产特性来说，喜山地、丘陵，广泛适宜山区种植。这有力地推动了山区的开发。惟其如此，茶叶生产的发展，成为我国历史上经济发展进程中划时代的事件。
进一步来看，我国传统农业生产的发展到唐宋时期已达到很高的水平。在平原和坝区，粮食产量创出新高，许多地方人地矛盾十分突出。
