第1章初识财务报表

1.1财务报表是什么

财务报表是会计核算的最终产品，它是依据日常核算资料编制的，是总括地反映企业在某一特定日期内的财务状况、经营成果和理财过程的报告文件。

财务报表、财务报告是人们经常使用的概念，我们先对它们之间的关系作简单的区分。

在西方财务会计实务中，财务报表是财务报告的主要组成部分，有助于使用者进行决策的财务会计信息，主要是通过一系列财务报表提供的。为此，人们自然地把财务报表等同于财务报告。但是，财务报表并不是财务报告的唯一手段，在财务报告中，还应当包括提供使用者决策所需信息的其他手段。

自20世纪90年代以来，由于使用者的信息需求在质和量上都有很大的提高，财务会计所提供信息的形式和内容都有明显的增加。所以，就会计核算系统的最终信息而言，财务报告逐渐代替了传统的财务报表概念。美国财务会计准则委员会发表的《财务报告的目的》明确提出：“财务报告不仅包括财务报表，而且包括传递直接或间接的与会计系统所提供的信息有关的各种信息的其他手段。”在财务会计实务中，财务报表与财务报告相比更侧重于财务会计的职能。财务报表作为正式对外提供的规范化信息报告，为了维护使用者的利益和稳定资本市场，必须遵守会计准则，在报表的形式或内容方面都有较为严格或统一的要求。某些非正式要求的信息，特别是侧重于管理会计职能的信息，就不能列入财务报表，而要求通过其他报告手段予以揭示或反映。一般来说，财务报告除了财务报表以外，往往还包括一些附表或补充报告。例如，有关应收票据贴现而存在的或有负债的补充报告，已经发生或预计可能发生的重大财务事项等。

在我国，人们习惯上使用“财务报表”这一概念，主张以“财务报表”的形式来表述上述“财务报告”的内容。也就是说，一般意义上大家把“财务报表”与“财务报告”当作无差别概念，而依据惯例采用“财务报表”这一提法。

1.2哪些人需要阅读财务报表

财务报表的需要者和阅读者很多，由于不同的财务报表阅读者运用会计信息的利益取向有所不同，其阅读财务报表的目的也就各有千秋，从而其需要的会计信息自然也不尽相同。因此，不同的财务报表阅读者在阅读财务报表时均各有侧重。对此，我们有必要了解不同财务报表阅读者对财务报表阅读与分析的重点。

一般而言，与企业有经济利害关系的有关方面包括:投资者、债权人、供应商、经营者、客户、政府部门、企业职工、竞争对手和社会公众等。这些方面构成了财务报表的不同阅读者，如图1-1所示。

由于以上不同报表使用者与企业经济关系的程度不同，其阅读重点也就不同。

1投资者(股东)

这里的投资者包括两层含义，一是现存的投资者；二是潜在的、未来的投资者。投资者最关心的是其权益的风险、投资能否增值、投资报酬或投资回报能有多大及能否满足其期望的投资收益等，这些因素决定着投资者是否向企业投资、是否还要追加投资、是否需要收回或转让投资。因此，投资者阅读与分析财务报表的重点主要是企业的获利能力、投资回报率及企业的经营风险水平，并以此作出相应的投资决策。

2债权人

债权人包括银行、非银行金融机构(如财务公司、保险公司等)、企业债券的购买者(供应商通常也会成为企业的债权人，但其与上述债权人有所不同，这里单独在下文讲述)等。按照一般分类，债权人可以分为短期债权人和长期债权人。其中，短期债权人提供的债权期限在12个月以内，他们最为关心的是企业偿还短期债务的能力。长期债权人向企业提供1年期以上的债权，他们最为关心的则是企业连续支付利息和到期(若干年后)偿还债务本金的能力。因而，债权人并不像投资者那样十分关心企业的获利能力，但对企业的偿债能力却时刻保持警惕。因此，他们更关注企业有多少资产可以作为偿付债务的保证，特别是企业有多少可以立即变现的资产作为偿付债务的保证。

3供应商

与企业债权人向企业提高债务融资情况类似，供应商在向企业提供商品或劳务后也成为企业的债权人。因而他们必须判断企业能否支付所购商品或劳务的价款。从这一点来说，大多数商品或劳务供应商对企业的短期偿债能力十分关注。有时，有些供应商可能与企业存在着较为长久的稳固的经济联系，在这种情况下，他们也会对企业的长期偿债能力予以额外注意。一般情况下，供应商必然愿意优先为偿债能力强、资信程度高的企业提供商品或劳务。

4经营者

经营者即企业的经营管理人员，他们受企业业主或股东的委托，对他们投入企业资本的保值和增值承担责任。经营者负责企业的日常经营活动，必须确保公司支付给股东与风险相适应的投资回报，及时偿还企业各种到期债务，使企业的各种经济资源得到充分有效的利用，为企业不断获利。因此，经营者对企业财务状况的各个方面都要了然于胸。他们不仅关心企业的经营成果的表现，更关心企业财务状况变化的原因和企业经营发展的趋势。

5客户

客户指企业产品的购买者，在许多情况下，企业可能成为某个客户重要的商品或劳务供应商，此时，客户就会关心企业能否长期持续经营下去，能否与之建立并维持长期的业务关系，能否为其提供稳定的货源。因此，客户主要关心企业的长期发展及有助于对此作出估计的获利能力指标与财务杠杆指标。

6政府部门

政府部门的财务报表阅读者包括财政、税务、国有资产管理局和企业主管部门等。一般来讲，政府部门阅读财务报表大多是进行综合分析，特别是财政部门和企业主管部门必须进行综合阅读与分析，以了解企业的发展状况；税务部门则侧重于确定企业的生产经营成果和税源；国有资产管理部门则侧重掌握、监控企业国有资产的保值增值情况。

7企业职工

企业职工通常与企业存在长久、持续的关系，他们关心工作岗位的稳定性、工作环境的安全性以及获取报酬的前景。因而，他们对企业的获利能力和偿债能力都会比较关注。

8竞争对手

竞争对手希望获取关于企业财务状况的会计信息及其他信息，借以判断企业间的相对比率。同时，还可为企业未来可能出现的企业兼并提供信息。因此，竞争对手可能把企业作为接管目标，因而他们对企业财务状况的各个方面均感兴趣。

9社会公众

社会公众对特定企业的关心也是多方面的。一般而言，他们关心企业的就业政策、环境政策、产品政策等。对这些方面，往往可以通过分析财务报表、了解企业获利能力等获得。

财务报表阅读者很多，除上述阅读者外，与企业有生产、技术等协作关系以及其他关系的利益集团，都是企业财务报表的阅读者。这些阅读者也都有其特定的需求，这里不再一一列举。
