《分工.交易和经济秩序》用复杂适应系统的涌现性这一复杂系统的一般原理来观察和把握经济系统以及其中的复杂现象。根据CAS学家霍兰的研究，任何一个CAS都有七大要素和机制，对此，我们很好地建立起了经济系统的对应物。由这些基本“部件”构成的CAS模型表现出真实经济系统的如下特征：行动者对可理解简单规则的遵循；层级结构；系统内信息传输和通讯。CAS模型表现出从环境中学
习的功能。通过积木建构图式，给定系统不确定性和多样性，经济系统不断地修改图式以适应新的环境，这就是CAS的学习过程。经济秩序是这样一种事态，它是社会内部建立的平衡而不是从外部施加的压力所致；它表现为经济生活的“连贯性、稳定性”和可预见性。没有它们，人们就不可能从事各自的职业或是满足其基本需要。就一般抽象秩序而言，秩序是指这样一种事态，其中无数各种各样的要素之间相互关系极为密切，所以我们可以从整体中某个空间或时间片段所做的了解中学会对其余部分作出正确的预期。而经济中的“市场秩序”就是通过遵循一般规则和接受价格体系的指导而使各个行动者预期彼此协调的一种事态。经济秩序中，为什么行动者能够从时空片段的局部知识出发作出正确的预期？原因在于分工网络和交易系统的存在。

Author Description

刘业进，男。1974年7月生，湖南石门人。2008年获得北京师范大学管理学博士学位，现任首都经济贸易大学公共管理系副教授。北京市属市管高校中青年骨干教师。主要研究领域为新制度经济学、演化经济学、公共部门经济学和公共政策分析。目前讲授“公共经济学”、“新制度经济学”和“公共管理经典选读”等课程。在《新政治经济学评论》、《改革》等核心期刊发表论文14篇；主持教育部人文社会科学规划青年基金项目（在研）、北京市教委人文社会科学规划项目（已结题）、北京市教育科学规划（已结题）等课题4项。作为主要成员参与北京市哲学社会科学课题和北京市教委重大专项课题等3项。《专业化分工前提的交易成本——对中国交易成本的经验估计：1978—2004》一文获2006中国制度经济学年会一等奖。

本书的研究始于笔者对新制度经济学的研习。开始只是出于“经济发展制度最重要”的直觉，继而对制度的优劣区分，以及对制度的演变机制的兴趣。对于这些问题的关注被自然带入对作为核心制度的产权制度以及权利的交易那浩如烟海的文献中。交易的总是一项或一组权利，那么权利是如何被界定和演变的？这导致对产权经济学和公共选择理论的研究进路；另一方面，交易是如何发生，交易费用和交易活动促成的收益权衡中如何解释现代经济体系中交易费用越来越大的现实？这导致对交易费用经济学和分工与组织的研究进路，进一步地导致对于经济秩序的理解。把现代复杂的分工体系和交易系统构成的经济系统看做各式各样的复杂系统中的一个特例来观察、把握和理解是本书的一个基本特色。经济系统没有根本的特殊性，它是复杂适应系统中的一个特例。构成经济系统的基本要素是选择单元（经济代理人，即行动看个体，超越个体层级的企业和超越企业层次的集群和产业）；层级结构（市场结构、企业科层体系）；系统通讯机制（相对价格体系）。我们的问题从日常经济生活的有序现象开始。以下问题是从日常生活开始到经济秩序本质的层层追问。
