《东北师范大学文库·利益分配、矛盾冲突与协调发展：区域开放动力机制理论研究》：
A，B两个区域的产业结构中都分为开放部门与非开放部门，开放部门实质是与区际市场有着直接联系的产业经济部门，即直接参与区际分工的产业经济部门。所谓非开放部门是指与区际市场没有直接联系的产业部门，即并未直接参与区际分工的产业。在存在区际产品贸易的A，B两区中，A区产业经济结构变化，会影响其输出和输入的产品结构及其价格，这会首先影响到B区的开放部门，B区开放部门将做出相应的、合乎理性的反应。例如，增加或减少本部门生产量，提高或降低本部门商品价格等等，传导机制通过B区开放部门向其非开放部门渗透，那些向开放部门提供原料、燃料、辅料、中间产品和吸收开放部门产品的非开放部门，也会随之调整本部门产品的生产规模和价格，以致B区最终会形成新的均衡的产业结构。反之，B区产业结构通过产品交换机制对A区产业结构发生影响，传导过程也是如此。如果A，B两区分工明确，贸易频繁，互相反复传导，实际上意味着这两个区域经济结构演化相互依赖加深，一区结构变动会波及另一区，形成两区相互关联的整体性成长。
