Author Description

迈克尔·曾伯格（Michael Szenberg），美国佩斯大学鲁宾商学院著名经济学教授。他是多部书的作者或主编，包括获得欧文·费雪图书奖（Irving Fisher Monograph Award）的《以色列钻石业经济学》（Economics of the Israeli Diamond Industry）（1973）以及《著名经济学家及其人生哲学》（Eminent Eminent Economists，Their Life Philosophies）（1992）。曾伯格教授获得过优秀教学科南奖，现任《美国经济学家》杂志主编和私人及政府部门的顾问。

Book Abstract

从广义上讲，库恩描述了传统的理论如何从虚假到规范的科学状态。在这一过程中，有可能演变成为突破点的问题会暴露出来。随着时间的推移，在这些突破点中，越来越多的有技能的“无形大学”的学生试图解决这些问题。可能出现的情况是，这些实践者从未谋面，但他们通过共同的资源彼此了解对方的问题并获得解决方案…将他们的成果发表在图书和期刊上。作为一种规则，他们对范式的遵循所达成的一致比分歧更多，因为一种范式可以解决许多理论上的问题，所以即使赴汤蹈火也难以放弃这种范式。但是，对异常事物的容忍只是一时的，而最终规范科学又会以新方向或新范式的形式受到人们的欢迎。解决方案可能代表着一种范式转变，其中一种旧范式可能消亡了，或者如马克斯·普兰克（Max Planck）所言：“不是旧理论得不到证明，而是它们的支持者都死去了”（Mohr，1977，136）。保罗·A·萨缪尔森（Paul A.Samuelson，1999，Ⅺ）对此做了非常生动的复述：“科学是通过一个葬礼又一个葬礼向前发展的。”在本书中，我们发现了能够推翻旧范式的、处于萌芽状态的新范式的例子，和代表着与其先辈决裂的新范式的例子。
