《政经哲学》：
67.民主在自身被异化之后，必会产生许多的反动倾向。那么，如何才能从方法论上解决这些问题呢？奈特认为，如果能由社会公众担当公开竞争中的裁决者，选择他们的领导人；那么，社会公众就是他们自己的领导人，这正是所谓民主的要义。于是，选民即变为了裁决者。但是，根据一般的知识看，过程性的裁决者并不具有领导者的意义，这就要求我们必须找出关于裁决性选择领导人的最后存在，或称之为它的第一推动者来，不然则既没有裁决的可能，也不会具有选择的力量，因此选择他们的领导者，就会成为一句空话。尽管如此，奈特的思想还是具有积极意义的。根据现代社会的最先进的思想成果来思索民主中出现的可怖情境并改变之的手段，我们认为，只有让民主服从于真理，才是其最后的和最高的办法，否则别无出路。
68.多少人讲，不经过民主的办法，在当今社会，又该如何产生政府呢？我们讲，在目前的资本主义占统治地位下的选举，它的最后以相对多数制来使政府合法化的正面作用，已全部丧失，所以必须进行革命性的彻底的改造，即完全地抛弃之，而另起规则，再造新的产生方式。其指导思想就是在一切服从和服务于真理的大原则下，将体育运动中的竞技的和实践的或实证的科学方法引进到产生政府的实务中来。其一般的构想是，第一步根据体育竞技的办法来产生一位在政绩上的具有冠军资格的最高领导者；第二步这位在政绩上的具有冠军资格的最高领导者在服从真理的前提下，履行管理职能；第三步根据实践的实证的科学性的检验法则，在观其执政的效果时，若之能最大程度地推动了社会的全面发展，则继续留任，否则即当下台。根据每个人的顶尖能力和潜力不具有长期性的特点，其任职时间不能一次性超过五年，等等（应有一个实施细则）。总之，新的产生政府的规则是建立在层层的竞技、实践和真理基础上的，而绝不是建立在选举的基础上的。尽管在这中间也可以掺杂一点点的暂时还去不掉的民主的初始的一些办法为手段，但在根本上，当完全去掉所谓民主的这些选举的法则了，此时的选民都变成了直接的裁判者。
69.最后，我们能见到的当下的民主，只能是正在衰落下去，而走向坍塌的存在；随着其在历史上的成为过去，一种全新的追求真理、服从真理和服务于真理的最先进的社会形态即必然地要进入到所有的人们的生活中来。
70.根据目前民主的要求，选举当是它的政治基石，然而在现实政治生活中，除了政治家和媒体外，民众普遍地存在着“选举冷漠”的现象，弃权、被动投票现象大量存在。如果选民们都以弃权或被动的方式来表达偏好，则民主政治的存在就将成为无有基石的沙上建构，其正当性便会迅速丧失。于是，这样的民主就要不断地颓败下去。根据从前的阐述，其原因就是它的不断地于反自由的过程中，在其所谓的多数统治里，民主已经缺乏任何的向上的或向前的动力。
71.如上的表现之一，就是民主形式的存在必将完成它自身的否定；表现之二，就是民选政府的失效。经济学家发现，现实生活中存在的任何一种公共选择方式，其最终的决策都很难体现公共利益的最优化。
