Introduction

我国经济发展正在进入以城市经济为主导的新阶段。2014年，我国第三产业占GDP的比重达到48.2%，高于第二产业5.6个百分点，显示出经济由工业主导向服务业主导加快转变；城镇化率达到54.77%，进入城镇化快速发展的中后期，以城市群为主体的城市空间形态将成为主导形态。以城市为载体、以服务业为主导的城市经济在我国经济中的地位日益重要。
改革开放以来，宁波区域经济快速发展，产业结构升级加快。2014年，全市服务业增加值占GDP的比重达到44.6%，服务业占比稳步提升，但仍相对偏低，占地区生产总值50%以上的第二产业发展日益受到要素、环境的约束；宁波城市建设快速推进，中心城市建成区规模快速扩大，城市空间拓展、景观美化等取得显著成效，但功能提升还需加速。城市经济正在成为宁波区域经济发展的重点领域，城市经济的发展速度与质量关系到未来宁波区域的发展，以及宁波城市在全省经济格局、长三角城市群中的地位。但城市经济如何发展，对于一个长期专注于以临港工业为优势的宁波来说，是个相对陌生的领域，迫切需要理论的指导、经验的借鉴。因此，开展系统的、基于城市经济学理论研究的宁波城市经济发展研究，具有十分重要的现实意义。
城市经济可以从多个视角切入进行研究，考虑到宁波城市空间形态的规划已经完成，宁波城市建设在空间拓展与楼宇建设等方面已经取得显著成效，当前与未来的主要问题在于集聚企业、发展产业、提升城市功能，我们的研究从产业视角切入。基于产业视角的城市经济研究需要考虑到城市的个性特征。宁波城市经济是基于港口基础上的港口城市的城市经济，也是宁波作为长三角城市群区域中心城市的城市经济。我们关于宁波城市经济的研究分两大部分。第一部分是基于宁波港口城市和全球城市区域核心城市的城市经济理论探讨，包括第一章理论层面的城市经济及其产业特征的探讨；第二章在港口城市产业特性理论探讨基础上的国内外港口城市经济发展历程的梳理与比较；第三章在全球城市区域核心城市产业特性理论探讨基础上的长三角区域核心城市产业发展比较。第二部分是实证层面的宁波城市产业发展研究，第四章在服务业主导产业选择理论探讨的基础上，就宁波市服务业主导产业选择进行了定性与定量相结合的系统分析；第五章至第八章选择宁波城市经济中的主导产业和新兴产业进行专题研究。
宁波市区域经济研究基地以宁波大学区域经济学、产业经济学硕士点为依托，长期跟踪、从事港城经济的研究。此次从产业视角切人的宁波城市经济研究是我们长期研究方向中的一次针对现实问题的研究尝试，希望得到大家的批评与指正。
