个别学习心理辅导同团体学习心理辅导一样，是学习辅导的基本形式。学生的学习心理问题多种多样，既可能是智力因素，特别是能力因素造成的学习落后，如学习方法不恰当、学习策略有问题等因素造成的，也可能是非智力因素，如动机、归因、学习兴趣导致的学习懈怠、学习落后。甚至可能是由于家庭环境、学校学习氛围等社会支持因素导致的。团体心理辅导无法细致地对个体的具体学习心理问题加以辅导。而个别学习心理辅导在这方面就有很大优势，针对不同的原因，积极关注，采取单独个别辅导或小范围的辅导，不仅使得辅导更加有针对性，而且也能加大辅导强度，得到更佳的学习辅导效果。同时学习心理辅导的过程是一个漫长的心理疏导过程，个别辅导有利于连续性、系统性地进行学习心理辅导，使得学生逐渐调整心态或改善学习方法，从而提高学习成绩。
3．课堂渗透式学习心理辅导
课堂渗透式学习心理辅导是指教师在课堂教学过程中自觉而主动地运用教育心理学的原理和方法以及心理辅导的策略、技术，调动和激活学生的智力因素和非智力因素，对学生的智力品质问题和非智力品质问题进行辅导，结合教材内容渗透心理教育，从而帮助学生增强课堂学习活动中的智力与非智力因素的投入水平，提高课堂教学质量、促进学生全面发展的心理辅导活动。
课堂渗透式学习心理辅导包括优化学生学习的外部因素和内部因素两大类。就外部因素而言，它包括营造课堂教学的良好心理氛围、建立和谐的师生交往关系；就内部因素而言，它包括激发学生的学习动机、采用情绪调控的方法，化解学生学习的过度焦虑等。课堂渗透式学习心理辅导为心理学理论在课堂教学中的应用开辟了一个广阔领域。既可以让更多的教师参与心理辅导，也可以提高教师的教学能力。同时能够帮助学生化解学习心理困扰，调节和优化学习心理状态，使之有效投入学习活动中。
课堂渗透式学习心理辅导需要遵循以下几个原则：①协同性原则：课堂渗透式学习心理辅导需要心理辅导同知识教学有机地融合起来，寓心理辅导于教学实践活动之中，同时也应遵循教学规律，按照教学程序和学生需要而展开。②理解性原则：课堂教学过程中，教师对学生发生的心理问题，既要善于敏锐地发现，不可漠然视之，又要满怀爱心，循循善诱，及时地加以引导，促使学生的心理状态向健康的方向发展，应坚持积极的沟通交流和热情的抚慰疏导，不可简单地批评、否定，更不可粗暴地指责、训斥。③渗透性原则：课堂教学要使用教材，而教材中有不少学习心理教育的内容。因此，教师应该像学科教学渗透德育一样，善于发现和挖掘教材中的心理教育、心理辅导的内容，善于寻找契合点，科学把握渗透切人口，有助于收到良好的效果。
