Author Description

卡尔·R·罗杰斯（1902-1987）是美国著名心理学家，人本心理学的创始人。他认为人性本善，有自我实现的发展潜力；他创立的“当事人中心疗法”主张心理治疗师要有真诚关怀当事人的感情，在真诚和谐的关系中启发当事人运用自我发展潜力促进自身的健康成长，增强自信心。
罗杰斯的心理疗法在当今欧美各国广泛流行。他认为这一原理也适用于教师与学生、父母与子女以及一般的人与人之间的关系。自20世纪50年代以来，他的影响遍及全世界，而且至今魅力不减。

Book Abstract

促进这种心理常态氛围的成长共有三个条件，这些条件，既可适用于治疗师与当事人之间，也可适用于父母与子女之间，更可适用于领袖与团体之间，老师与学生之间，行政人员与僚属之间。实际上，只要能帮助人达到他发展的目标，在任何情况之下，这些条件都可以适用。有关这些条件的讲述，我曾在以往的著作中有所论述（请参阅1959年及1941年的拙著），在此不再重复。在这里，我只作个概述，是为心理治疗的观点立论。
首先，让我来谈谈真诚、实在，或者所谓的和谐。一旦治疗师同他的当事人建立了良好的关系，把个人的和职务上的假面具去掉，当事人就会积极地成长。所以说，真诚，就是让治疗师的感情和态度自自然然地表现出来。这就是说，这时有一种默契，在治疗师与当事人之间浮现出一种真诚，让他们感觉到一种自觉，一种自然的内心发泄。
其次，我要强调的是创造一种改变环境的氛围，以期能做到接纳、关怀，并达到无条件的积极关注。当治疗师怀着积极的又毫无判断的心态，对当事人表示全面接受的那一时刻，治疗的效果就会产生，而行为上的改变也会接踵而来。治疗师既然对当事人表示了全面的接纳，那么，当事人所有的感受，诸如混乱、反感、恐惧、愤怒、勇敢、热爱、自傲等都会涌上心头。这是一种非积极性的关注，如果治疗师仍能全面接受，而非选择性地接纳，则治疗效果也会展现。
第三个促进人际关系的要素是同情心的了解，就是说，治疗师必须具有一种特殊的感应能力，很准确地感受到当事人的个人经验，并能体会到当事人所表达的内容，只要进行得顺利，治疗师不但能够进入当事人的内心世界，去了解他所要澄清的各项意义，甚至他在下意识里对情况一目了然。就个人所知，这种特殊而主动的聆听是威力最大的．种。
最近以来许许多多的研究都证明，只要各项条件都满足，人格和行为的改变就会产生。从1949年起，这种研究不但在国内存在，而且在国外也有案例。在心理治疗方面有态度上的改变，在学校方面有学习了的改变，而在行为方面也有精神分裂的改变。
