第1章认识中小学心理测量
一什么是心理测量
随着社会的进步和心理学在中国的发展，心理测量在许多领域的理论和实践中发挥着越来越大的作用。系统地认识心理测量，可以为我们从事中小学心理健康教育工作提供帮助和支持。
（一）什么是心理测量
1．测量和心理测量的定义。测量是我们人类生活中普遍存在的现象。我们平时的量身高、测体重，工业生产中对技术的评定以及教育工作中测定学生的学业成绩等都属于测量的范畴。根据测量对象的性质和特点，可以将测量大致分为物理测量（如长度测量、重量测量等）、生理测量（如对人体各种生理机能的测量等）、社会测量（如人口普查等）和心理测量（如智力测量、人格测量等）四种类型。
关于测量的定义，比较公认的是史蒂文斯（Stevens）的说法：“广义而言，测量是根据法则给事物赋予数量。”也就是说，测量是根据一定的规则对事物的特征进行定量描述的过程。这里“一定的规则”就是指科学的原理和手段，只有用科学的方法，才能得到准确的测量结果。
所谓心理测量，就是根据一定的规则用数字对人的行为加以确定。具体说来，就是根据一定的心理学理论，使用一定的操作程序，给人的行为和心理属性确定出一种数量化的价值。因此，有了心理测量，人的心理属性和行为就变成可度量的过程，并且可以用直观的数字科学地表现出来，这些数字均具有统计学上的意义。
首先，心理测量是对人的行为的测量。严格地讲，只是测量了做心理测验时被观察到或者实验中出现的行为，通过这些行为来推断个体的心理特点。

Introduction

我国中小学心理健康教育迄今走过20年左右的历程。这20年间，教育部《关于加强中小学心理健康教育的若干意见》和《中小学心理健康教育指导纲要》相继颁布实施，中小学心理健康教育从无到有，取得了很大的成绩，为维护和促进广大中小学生的心理健康做出了重要贡献，也为未成年人思想道德建设、基础教育课程改革以及素质教育的深化提供了强有力的支持。
同时，中小学心理健康教育问题与不足也是明显的。譬如，呼声很高，但观念并未根本转变，突出表现为行动上不够落实或形式主义严重；宏观政策明确，但缺乏具体化操作方案，突出表现为政策导向与落实及监督措施之间存在明显的脱节现象；异军突起，但缺乏其他教育的支持与配合，突出表现为心理健康教育的“孤军奋战”现象；实践性研究成果相当丰富，但理论研究仍然薄弱，突出表现为理论指导实践不力；师资队伍建设得到重视，但进程缓慢，收效不大，突出表现为师资数量仍然严重不足，教师水平普遍不高；相关活动层出不穷，尽显繁荣，但大多缺乏规划、规范，且管理混乱、薄弱，突出表现为短期行为明显，功利色彩浓厚，等等。
当前，一线心理健康教育工作者的专业成长是制约中小学心理健康教育取得实效并走向深化的瓶颈之一。中小学心理健康教育工作者的专业成长有很多路径，培训与自我进修无疑是基于目前现实状况所能选择的最基本也是最根本的方式。但遗憾的是，这么多年来，作为培训与自我进修最基本的“载体”——教材、资料、参考书等，能够适合一线教师使用的并不多。作为与学校心理健康教育同步成长的心理健康教育研究者，作为近20年来深入中小学指导心理健康教育工作的实践者，本人能体会心理健康教育培训工作和一线心理健康教育工作者对这样一种“载体”的需要与渴求。正是基于这样的背景，我们组织了一批中小学心理健康教育研究专家和一线心理健康教育的优秀实践者，编著了这套《中小学心理健康教育实用丛书》。
