Author Description

西格蒙德·弗洛伊德，1856年出生，是奥地利精神病医师、心理学家、精神分析学派创始人。作为心理学领域的先驱者，他的学说、治疗技术以及对人类心理隐藏部分的揭示，开创了心理学研究的全新领域。他的理论不仅对心理学的发展起了巨大的推动作用，还对西方当代文学艺术、宗教、伦理学、历史学产生了深远的影响。1938年，希特勒德国占领了奥地利，弗洛伊德因是犹太人被迫离开维也纳，前往英国避难，1939年在英国去世。

女士们，先生们！我们常以为“性”是不言而喻的。首先，性是不高尚的行为，不宜多谈。曾有人告诉我这样一件事情：一位著名精神病学家的学生欲使自己的老师相信歇斯底里症的症状多与性有关。于是，他们将老师带到一位患者的病床前，这位患者发病的症状显然与分娩十分相像。老师却否认说：分娩跟性无关。这当然没错，因为分娩不一定是什么见不得人的事。

我注意到你们在生我的气，因为我似乎不应拿这么严肃的事情说笑，但这不只是一个笑话。说实话，要概括“性”的内容，绝不是一件容易的事情。说性指代所有与两性区别有关的事物，或许是唯一准确的说法，却未免有些宽泛无味。如果你们重点关注性行为这一事实，那也许会说性是以获取快感为目的，关注异性的身体——尤其是性器官，并以性器官的结合和发生性行为为最终目标的过程。但这种说法与“性是不高尚的行为”其实相差不大，分娩自然不属于性。而如果你们认为性的本质是繁衍生息，那一系列与生殖无关，却显然与性有关的行为，如手淫和亲吻，又给排除在外了。我们其实很清楚，下定义是一件很困难的事情，所以不指望能给“性”一个尽善尽美的定义。不过我们能感觉到“性”的概念发展得很快，用西尔贝莱尔的话说，很难一言以蔽之。不过总体看来，我们在性问题上还是大致有方向的。

如果由性能联想到性器官、性快感、生殖功能及其秘而不宣的特征，便已经可以满足实际生活的需要。但对科学来说，这远远不够。通过细致而富有自我牺牲精神的研究，我们发现有一些人群的“性生活”显然易于常人。一部分“性倒错者”眼里没有性别的差异，只有同性才能唤起他们的性欲。异性（尤其是他们的性器官）根本不在性对象之列，甚至严重时还会引起他们反感。这些人自然也不想参与生殖的过程。我们称这类人为同性恋或性倒错者，他们有男有女，除了有这一缺陷，往往——但不是百分之百——有很好的教养和智力开发，在道德上别无可指摘处。他们在科学界的代言人称他们是人类的一个特殊变种，即“第三性”，认为他们应该与其余两性平等共处。以后若有机会，我们可以用批判性的眼光再去审查这一诉求。但至少这群人并不总像他们所说的那样，是经过挑选的精英，其中一部分人照样本事平平，别无大用。

我新问世的这本书以《精神分析引论》为题，绝非有意挑战该领域现有的同类作品（席慈曼，Hitschmann：《弗洛伊德神经病学》，1913年第二版；普菲斯特，Pfister：《精神分析方法》，1913年；莱奥·卡普兰，Leo Kaplan：《精神分析概要》，1914年；雷吉塞特·海斯纳德，Régiset Hesnard：《对神经官能症和精神症的精神分析》，巴黎，1914年；阿道夫·F.麦耶，Adolf F. Meijer：《精神分析对神经官能症的治疗作用》，阿姆斯特丹，1915年）。1915年的第16和1916年的第17冬季学期，我为一群医生和非专业人士开设了这门讲座，本书忠实地收录了当时的讲稿。
