《现代实用静脉外科学》分27章，前10章为总论，后17章为各论，对主要静脉疾病的临床诊治作了详细的阐述，书中附有较多的插图，大部分是临床实践中的资料，便于读者阅读理解。《现代实用静脉外科学》总结了国內外血管外科学者在静脉疾病诊治方面的丰富临床经验，是一本实用性很强的静脉外科参考书，对中青年血管外科医师、基层医院普通外科医师有较大的参考价值。
Author Description

陈翠菊同志是中国人民解放军成都军区昆明总医院血管外科中心主任、主任医师、昆明医学院兼职教授、文职将军，享受国务院政府特殊津贴。
陈翠菊教授1941年11月出生于浙江省宁波市，1965年8月毕业于浙江医科大学，分配入伍至原昆明军区72医院普外科工作，1971年8月调至昆明总医院工作至今。参加过3次战伤救治工作。1983年6月师从上海中山医院我国老一代著名血管外科专家冯友贤教授，1985年1月在云南省开辟了第一家血管外科专业及专科，全面开展血管外科临床工作，解决了本地区血管病诊治的困难。1994年8月脱离普外科，专注从事血管外科专业，她组建、领导的科室1999年1月被军区批准挂牌为成都军区血管外科中心。
陈翠菊教授现任中华外科学会血管外科学组委员、中国周围血管疾病专业委员会委员、中华医学会云南省外科学会委员、军区心胸血管外科专业副主任委员、全军卫生技术资格考试命题委员会委员等职。
