Book Abstract

科学是在实事求是的基础上才得以发展起来的。伽利略正是本着实事求是的科学态度，才否定了亚里士多德的许多谬论；牛顿正是本着实事求是的科学态度，才登上了自然科学史上的第一座山峰。物理实验首先推崇实事求是，如果不是求是精神，那么实验观测就失去了意义。在物理实验的过程中应注意培养我们尊重事实、严肃认真、按科学规律办事的科学态度，按实验规则操作，实事求是地对待实验结果。我们要从实际出发，独立思考，精心实验，如实记录，严肃地对待实验过程中的每一个环节。我们要通过物理实验培养自己严谨的科学态度与实干精神以及兢兢业业的科学作风，这将能促使我们建立科学的世界观。我国著名科学家钱三强曾说过：“科学态度和科学作风是一个人优良品德的重要组成部分……对于一个人成就事业的重要性，丝毫不亚于他们的知识和能力，甚至可以说更重要。”
华裔著名实验物理学家丁肇中的学术思想是：在科学研究中非常重视实验，物理学是在实验与理论紧密相互作用的基础上发展起来的，理论进展的基础在于理论能够解释现有的实验事实，并且还能够预言可以由实验证实的新现象。当物理学中一个实验结果与理论预言相矛盾时，就会发生物理学的革命，并且导致新理论的产生。他根据近四分之一世纪以来物理学的历史和他亲身的经验指出，许多重要实验，例如K介子衰变中电荷共轭宇称与宇称复合对称性（CP）不守恒的发现，J粒子的发现以及高温超导体的发现，开辟了物理学中新的研究领域，但这些实验发现都是预先在理论上并没有兴趣的情况下做出的；又如高能加速器实验近年来做出的有关粒子物理的基本发现，除W粒子和Z粒子外，几乎都是在加速器开始建造时未曾预言过的。他强调，没有一个理论能够驳斥实验的结果，反之，如果一个理论与实验观察的事实不符合，那么这个理论就不能存在。他重视科学实验的观点，对科学工作者是很有教益的。

本教材共分三章，第一章主要讲述物理实验的重要性及物理实验的主要环节；第二章主要讲述误差理论基础及数据处理的相关知识；第三章为医用物理实验，包括基本长度的测量、粘滞系数特性的测试、液体表面张力系数的测定、三线摆法测量样品的转动惯量、拉伸法测定金属丝的杨氏模量、声速的测量、常用电子仪器介绍、用模拟法测绘静电场、心电图机性能指标的测量、铁磁材料的磁滞回线和基本磁化曲线、模拟CT、分光计的调节与用分光计和光栅测光波波长、棱镜折射率的测定、旋光计原理及使用、测量薄凸透镜的焦距、自组显微镜等十六个物理学实验。
本教材由陈月明老师担任主编，参加本书编写工作的老师有（按姓氏笔画排序）：王奕、江中云、陈月明、赵艳、柴林鹤、黄海、黄龙文、梁振、韩莲芳。
