为什么要进行糖尿病循证治疗？
糖尿病是一种常见的慢性疾病，至今仍然是不可治愈的。虽然糖尿病是根据空腹血糖水平的升高来定义的，但是其很显著的特点是有许多相关的异常，如胰腺β细胞功能的异常以及胰岛素对脂肪、蛋白质和碳水化合物代谢的活性和效果异常。这些异常会对患者的生活质量产生巨大影响。尤其1型糖尿病，如果不适当地鉴别和治疗，甚至可以导致死亡。更值得注意的是，糖尿病患者易并发严重的慢性疾病，包括但不局限于失明、肾衰竭、末梢神经损害、截肢、冠心病、外周血管疾病和脑血管疾病。事实上，糖尿病和相关的代谢异常往往在血糖水平升高至糖尿病范畴之前就出现了，在发达国家这些疾病大部分是由糖尿病和相关代谢异常引起的。
