（一）种植修复印模的特殊性
种植修复体的设计制作需要诸多步骤才能完成，种植修复的各个环节和各个步骤都不同程度地关系到种植修复的成败，制取印模也是其中重要的一个步骤。
种植修复的过程从患者初诊咨询时就已经开始，包括倾听患者的主诉和期望、术前检查、临床条件评价、为患者制定合理的种植修复方案等。修复方式虽然有简有繁、有易有难，但是术前设计是非常重要也是必需的。在进行合理的种植修复设计并经过患者知情同意后才能进入治疗过程，修复实施过程的起点是制取印模。
一个功能良好、美观、耐久的种植修复体的实现需要通过制取印模、灌制模型、切削基台、制作蜡型、包埋铸造、烤瓷等工艺才能完成。只有在上述每个步骤中避免错误、减小误差最终才能达到较为满意的临床效果。
制取合格的印模是这一过程的第一步，如果印模制取不规范、欠清晰、不准确，对修复体制作的影响将是灾难性的。应该认识到印模制取是种植修复成功的重要的决定性因素之一；没有准确合格的印模，制作完成一个合格的种植修复体是不可能的。
因此，种植修复医师应该对种植修复的印模环节给予足够重视和深入的考虑，包括材料器具选择、印模制取方法、印模质量标准等给予足够的关注和重视。
种植修复的印模制取虽然与天然牙修复制取印模有一定的相同之处，但是，和天然牙修复相比，在种植体上部制作修复体对印模也有一些特殊要求。
1．位置准确性在天然牙基础上制作修复体，天然牙预备体的位置基本不会发生变位，医师和技师较多关注的是基牙预备体的外形、边缘、肩台的形态、预备体的聚合度、印模和模型存在变形的可能性等，但无需担心基牙旋转或变位等问题。
而种植体支持的修复体是由种植体上方的一到多个机械部件组合、连接、固定而成，修复配件较多，各部件之问多以螺丝固定连接。大多数种植修复是在种植体上部先通过螺丝固定一个金属或氧化锆基台，在基台上再制作完成修复体。这种由多个机械装置“连接组合”而成的修复体，对各个部件之间的加工精度要求很高。制取印模的转移杆就是由通过旋紧的螺丝固定在种植体上的，这些机械连接是否牢靠稳定、印模后是否会变位等问题成为种植修复印模、灌制模型等步骤中需要特别关注的问题。
