二、预备知识
计算机是一种能把信息自动高速存储和连续自动处理的电子设备。它的处理对象是信息，处理结果也是信息。计算机能自动地存储程序和接收信息，并按约定的程序对信息进行处理，然后提供处理结果。
（一）计算机系统概述
1．计算机的发展及特点
1）计算机的发展
1945年底，人类历史上第一台计算机在美国宾夕法尼亚大学研制成功，即ENIAC——Electronic Numerical Integrator And Computer（电子数值积分与计算机）。ENIAC是在冯·诺伊曼一份报告的基础上研制成功的，因此冯·诺伊曼被称为“现代计算机之父”。ENIAC占地167m2，使用了l8 000个真空电子管，耗电174 kW，重达30t，每秒钟可进行5 000次加法运算。ENIAC奠定了电子计算机的发展基础，它的问世标志着电子计算机时代的到来。根据计算机所使用的物理器件，可将计算机的发展过程分成以下几个阶段：
（1）第一代计算机（1946～1957年）：电子管计算机。其主要特征是采用真空电子管作为电路器件，主存储器为磁鼓，外存储器用纸带、卡片、磁带。
（2）第二代计算机（1958～1964年）：晶体管计算机。其主要特征是采用晶体管作为电路器件，主存储器为磁芯，外存储器主要使用磁带。
（3）第三代计算机（1965～1970年）：集成电路计算机。其主要特征是采用中、小规模集成电路作为电路器件，使用了半导体存储器。
（4）第四代计算机（1971年至今）：大规模集成电路计算机。其主要特征是采用大规模和超大规模集成电路作为电路器件。主存储器使用了集成度更高的半导体存储器，外存储器使用大容量的磁盘、光盘和以半导体存储器为主要器件的移动存储设备，如软盘、硬盘、光盘、U盘等。
