Book Abstract

高级语言早期是面向过程的语言，后来发展到面向对象语言，如VC、VB和VFP等都支持面向对象程序设计，随着网络的发展，出现基于Web应用的语言，如Java、XML结构化标记语言等。其中XML以其良好的数据存储、高度结构化、扩展性强等优势，广泛应用于网页编程及网络应用。
（3）语言处理程序
语言处理程序主要有汇编程序、编译程序、链接程序和解释程序等。计算机只能接受O和1组成的代码，即机器语言程序。用高级语言编写的程序必须经过“翻译”形成机器语言程序，计算机才能执行。语言处理程序就是完成这种翻译的软件。
（4）测试程序、诊断程序、调试程序、监控程序
测试程序是能检查出程序中错误的程序；诊断程序用来帮助系统管理员或程序员检测计算机系统的故障，以便维护；调试程序用来跟踪程序执行，以便发现和纠正程序中的错误；监控程序用于分配、管理主机和外设的操作，分析并响应用户命令，实现人机联系和监控。
3.应用软件
用户为解决某一特定问题而设计、开发的软件称为应用软件。一般把解决各类特别问题的应用程序的组合称为软件包。随着计算机的普及与发展，计算机应用软件的种类越来越丰富多样。

Introduction

大学生学习计算机的目的是利用计算机处理各专业领域的实际问题，对他们而言，不仅要了解计算机这个现代化工具本身，而且要了解使用计算机能做什么、会做什么。因此，大学计算机基础教学应更强化计算机应用及操作实践能力的培养。
目前，很多高校已形成“基础+技术+应用”三个层次的公共计算机基础教学课程体系，其中“大学计算机基础”课程内容通常包括计算机基础知识、操作系统及其应用、办公软件、计算机网络基础、Internet应用、多媒体技术、数据库技术、程序设计基础等。但很多高校都面临着课程内容多，学时少，学生负担重的状况。如何在有限的学时内让学生灵活地掌握最基础、最先进的内容，以便将来进一步拓展，是计算机基础教学中一个亟待解决的问题。
笔者通过多年来的教学发现，学生对操作系统及办公软件内容反映较好，但计算机基础知识和网络基础内容普遍认为理论性太强，对后续专业课的帮助不大。特别是计算机网络基础，文科学生更感教学偏重理论化。对这个问题有两种解决方案，一是在后续课程中加上计算机网络基础课程，这样讲解、实验都比较透彻，但要增加学时，对公共课教学而言是很难的；二是调整教学内容，在现有基础上，删去部分不合适的内容，从易于教学、方便操作、实用性强的角度出发，增加计算机网络基础操作的应用。
本书采用第二种解决方案，以实践应用为目的，弱化理论教学，让学生学以致用，提高学生的学习兴趣和教学效果。实践证明，采用精讲多练的教学模式，精选教学内容及案例，使学生能举一反三，完全可以做到在短时间内达到教学目标。
本书在组织形式上也做了改进，打破传统教材将理论与实验分开成书的形式，将理论与应用、实验与测试两部分放在一起，分成上、下两篇，学习时可前后对照。同时随书所附光盘提供与教材配套的电子课件、实验所需的原始素材和试题库等。
本书第1章，实验1、4和测试题1、3由梁洁编写；第2章，实验2、3和测试题2由张国生编写；第3章Word部分，实验5、6由崔燕妮编写；第3章PPT部分，实验7、8和测试题4由马竹芬编写；第3章Excel部分，实验9、10、11和测试题5由李志红编写；第4、5章，实验12、13、14和测试题6、7由张泽华编写；张黎完成了局域网部分内容；第6、7章，实验15、16和测试题8、9由林玲编写；本书电子课件由梁洁完成，梁洁审阅并对全书进行统稿。赵东风教授、余江教授对本书的编写给予了指导，在此表示衷心的感谢。
