温玉波，州省兴仁县中医院院长、北京亚健康防治协会常务理事、中医针灸专家、中医世家的第四代传人。毕业于黑龙江省中医药大学，曾发表国家级论文数篇并多次参加省级、市级的学术研讨会。从事中医、针灸医疗工作20 多年，积累了丰富的临床经验，擅长运用中医、中药、针灸疗法，治疗不孕不育、心脑血管病及后遗症、高血压病、青少年近视、消化系统类疑难疾病等。

高血压到底有多“高”
高血压患者应该把血压控制在140/90mmHg以下
目前，我国把血压水平分为正常血压、理想高值、高血压三种。其中理想血压的收缩压小于120mmHg，舒张压小于80mmHg；正常高值的收缩压在120～139mmHg之间，舒张压在80～89mmHg之间；高血压的收缩压在140mmHg以上，舒张压在90mmHg以上。
原发性高血压和继发性高血压
2005年，美国高血压学会提出了高血压的新定义，认为高血压是一个由许多病因引起的、处于不断进展状态的心血管综合征，可以导致心脏和血管功能与结构的改变。其中，凡是导致人体血压升高、病因不明的高血压，都被称为原发性高血压；能够查出明确病因的高血压，都被称为继发性高血压。在高血压的患病人群中，原发性高血压比例大约占90%～95%，继发性高血压大约占5%～10%。与原发性高血压相比，继发性高血压患者患有心血管疾病、脑卒中、蛋白尿和肾功能不全的危险性通常更高。不过一旦查出病因，并有效去除或控制病因后，继发性高血压通常可以被治愈，至少病情可以得到明显改善。
正常血压和异常血压
高血压病若不进行治疗，任其自然发展，则会明显加速动脉硬化进程，平均患病后13.9年发生脑卒中、急性心肌梗死；若经治疗后降低血压,就可以减少脑卒中和心肌梗死的发生，减少高血压对肾脏、眼底等器官血管的损害。

血液，是为人体各部分输送营养物质的最有效介质，而血压，则是血液在血管内流动时，对血管壁产生的一种压力，是推动血液在血管内流动的动力。正常健康的血压，是血液在体内循环流动的最基本前提，因此让血压在多种内外因素的作用下依旧保持正常，具有非常重要的健康意义。
那么，正常、稳定的血压对人体健康究竟有什么重要意义呢？从正面的角度看，最基础的意义即是能够保证内脏各器官的血液供应；从负面的角度看，血压过低会导致人四肢冰冷、呼吸困难，血压过高则易发高血压病，而高血压是引发心脑血管病及心肌梗死等其他危险疾病的最主要因素。
我在临床上发现，作为高血压的首要治疗理念，降压是一个很重要的指标，但结合目前当下高血压患病人群年轻化的趋势，我们在治疗时不应仅仅局限于降低血压值，如何在降压过程中，为已经或接近损伤的脏器修复、调养才是我们更需要重视的。
我的建议是，患者在治疗高血压时，要注重中西结合。利用药物降压的同时，也要采纳中医师和营养师的建议，选择一些中药与西药搭配，或者根据中医的体质类型理论，辩证地服用西药。
本书从现代医学、传统中医和营养学的角度出发，系统阐述了现代人对高血压理应具备的疾病知识、包括病因病理、预防措施、治疗原则、饮食方案、运动方案等。书中对于很多内容坚持了科学、客观、正确的表述，但并不涉及过于高深专业的理论知识，是一本读者读后能够从中寻找到最佳康复建议的实用书。
