《做对这些事，高血脂好控制（大字清晰版）》：
血脂指的是在血管内、血液中发现的脂肪，通常包括胆固醇与三酰甘油等：但体脂肪是血管外的脂肪，和血脂不同。一般人常会有的疑问是：有些人明明很胖，为什么血脂很正常；而看起来很瘦的人，却有高血脂？其实血脂高和体脂肪高是不同的，身型肥胖、高体脂的人，不代表也有高血脂。
血脂和我们每天吃的食物有关系。吃的东西如果含有高脂肪的成分，虽然消化系统会吸收这些脂肪，但是吸收不了的脂肪，会经过血管运输到身体各处，而人体的胃肠道有很多血管，会帮助身体吸收。人体所需的成分，如蛋白质、氨基酸、电解质和脂肪酸等，还有许多身体所需的物质，都是由肠胃道渗透进来，再由血管去传送。血管将血输送到全身，第一个步骤会先过滤，检查身体有没有办法使用或是其中是否有毒性。接着，血液会流到肝脏，让肝脏筛选、处理、制造脂肪，最后再重组，之后身体需要的时候，再重新释放出来。身体在需要时会吸收脂肪，所以脂肪会特定地释出，例如，当身体需要修护或者是身体要分泌激素的时候，器官会大量使用到血脂，因此肝脏就会释放更多的脂肪让身体可以去使用。
·血脂的内容物血脂不是只含有胆固醇和三酰甘油，而还有许多不同且非常复杂的成分。脂肪其实有很多种，一般谈到血管的健康，只会提到胆固醇和三酰甘油这比较简单的两项，目的是为了让大众更易于了解。
但是身体没有那么简单，光是胆固醇这项物质，就分为低密度胆固醇（LDL－C）和高密度胆固醇（HDL－C），也就是俗称的坏的、好的胆固醇，而且它们还会相互作用。
油脂也分许多种，例如脂肪酸类的油脂有植物性和动物性，它们既非胆固醇，也不是三酰甘油类。又如必需脂肪酸这类油脂，人类没办法自行制造，所以要从饮食中摄取。由此可见，油有许多不同的成分，身体用的油是很多样的。而现今提到的高血脂，主要是针对胆固醇、三酰甘油过高导致的新陈代谢问题、血管阻塞，进而产生血管慢性发炎，使器官坏死的情况进行预防。
三酰甘油（TG）糖类是身体不可或缺的物质，但是人无法把糖存在身体里面。为了让它能发挥作用，身体就将糖类转换为油脂，以三酰甘油的形式储存在体内。三酰甘油的优点就是能够稳定地存放在体内，等到身体需要它的时候，肝脏会再重组转换成糖，再由肝脏释出。
三酰甘油本身能够让人体御寒，而体内的内脏器官需要御寒，所以三酰甘油大多会储存在腰部附近，不仅帮忙保暖，而且还能保护内脏器官。
三酰甘油的储存可以说是一举两得，能够把未来需要的东西储存起来，并且在需要时进行转换，储存当下还有保护的功用。三酰甘油对身体其实是有好处的，但需注意不能含量过高。
好胆固醇VS.坏胆固醇高密度脂蛋白（HDL）负责将身体组织内约30％的胆固醇运送血脂至肝脏，有预防血液中过多胆固醇堆积在血管壁的作用，因此高密度脂蛋白胆固醇（HDL－C）通常被称作好胆固醇，有益血管健康。血管中的好胆固醇浓度越高，越有机会维持血管的畅通。
低密度脂蛋白（LDL）则含有大量的胆固醇，易于渗入血管壁中，进而造成动脉粥状硬化，引起心血管疾病，故低密度脂蛋白胆固醇（LDL－C）一般被称为坏胆固醇。我们应该增加身体里的好胆固醇比例，使其抑制坏胆固醇。
·血脂储存在哪里呢体脂肪会储存在血管外面；至于血脂到底是存在内脏器官上，或者在皮肤下面，就要视脂肪种类而论。如果是胆固醇，较多会储存在皮肤下面；若是三酰甘油，则以保护内脏器官为主，会存在内脏器官上。其他的脂肪也会储存，但是大分类是以这两类为主。当油脂被身体储存起来时，身材会比较胖、比较圆润。脂肪若被存在血管外，血管里面的脂肪并不会受到影响，血脂也就不会升高。
腰围和体内三酰甘油含量有很大的关系，可以从测量的数值中去推理，但没有办法百分之百地确定腰间全部是油脂，因为内脏器官里面还有肠子、大肠、骨骼和肌肉等，这些都有可能影响腰围。
其实量腰围来看体内脂肪（尤其三酰甘油）有多少，其中有许多不确定因素，建议如果医疗条件允许，或经济能力能够负担，可以依国外的建议，做腹部的CT扫描，才有可能准确知道肚子里脂肪占的比例是多少。
只靠腰围来判断脂肪太过笼统，有些人腰围超过标准值，但或许只是因为胀气和未排出的宿便存在腹中而已，和脂肪可能完全无关。
