Author Description

肖克凡，天津市作家协会副主席，中国作家协会全委会委员。上世纪八十年代开始写作，著有长篇小说《鼠年》《原址》《天津大码头》《旧租界》等八部，小说集《赌者》《你为谁守身如玉》《蟋蟀本纪》《爱情手枪》等十五部，散文随笔集《一人个的野史》《人间素描》等四部，还有部分影视作品。长篇小说《机器》获中宣部第十届“五个一工程奖”、首届中国出版政府奖，并入围第七届茅盾文学奖。长篇小说《生铁开花》获北京市文学艺术奖。
为张艺谋电影《山楂树之恋》编剧。

他身穿皱皱巴巴的土色西服、肥大的军绿裤子、褐色破皮靴，一派典型的民工打扮。站在山顶远远望着山谷里布满彩色帐篷的度假村，他心情挺复杂的。就说张术吧。二十多年前知青部落的那条大土炕，我睡炕头，那家伙睡炕梢儿。如今人家成了当地首富，就连当年知青部落遗留的三间土房也修建成“张术故居”，走进院子首先看到著名书法家沐沣先生题写的匾额，四个大字金光闪闪。
他内心是自卑的。尽管他的洪炉在哈尔哈拉河畔无人不晓，尽管他打造的“匹恰克”已经成为当地旅游名牌产品，尽管他走遍方圆百里处处都有奶茶和笑脸，他还是觉得没劲。当年我在这里插队落户，但后来返城了。当年返城进厂我当了锻工，连年被评为先进生产者，但后来下岗了，就连妻子也跟了别人。大城市的时尚生活根本不需要铁匠。他只得承认自己是多余人。五十岁了，只身重返记载着他青春岁月的哈尔哈拉河畔，叮叮当当打铁谋生。
一条小路曲折地通往山谷。山谷其实是河谷。哈尔哈拉河蜿蜒而来蜿蜒而去，留下山对水的回忆，也留下水对山的回忆。山山水水互不相忘，最没记性的动物是人。人，什么也记不住，只记住钱和女子。这样想着，他看到虚张声势的乌云远去了。河谷里的景色重新灿烂起来，没事儿似的。这就是坚若磐石的哈尔哈拉河谷啊。他沿着小路，下山了。入朝高处走，一鼓作气冲上山顶就是了。人往低处走，就难了。李丽茹就是这样摔死的。
三十几座彩色帐篷，分布在鲜花盛开的哈尔哈拉河谷里。野玫瑰花的香气扑面而来，令人猝不及防。游客们因此受到强烈刺激。这就是哈尔哈拉河谷的野玫瑰花，花香杀人，花香杀人不眨眼。住在度假村里的大肚子们几乎人人愿意被花香杀死，他们在彩色帐篷里这样唱着，不是倾诉心曲而是消化着肠胃里的狍子肉。进入小盆地，他迈着大步走过一座座不伦不类的彩色帐篷，心里充满抵触情绪。他知道这里是张术旅游公司的度假村，自己只是打造哈尔哈拉河刀子的铁匠而已。河谷里野玫瑰花的香气迎面扑来，掺杂着游客们带来的法国香水味道。他苦笑了，迎着无奈的夕阳。
黄昏时分，远处的篝火便燃烧起来。这显示了大肚子们急切盼望夜生活降临的焦灼心理。白天似乎太长了。他拖着自己长长的身影走向那座破旧的蒙古包。这座蒙古包不是有钱人聚会的地方，因为这里没有五粮液和人头马。这里只有哈尔哈拉河水酿出的真正好酒，人称烧刀子。他总也弄不明白烧酒为什么叫烧刀子，难道酒是刀子？是啊，酒有时候就是刀子，男人有时候是磨刀石。
走进蒙古包他看到几个汉子喝着烧刀子，表情从容。烧刀子这酒，味道醇正，德行很好。酒也是有德行的，跟人一样。他跟汉子们打招呼，知道他们都是小生意人。汉子们都认识他，叫他刀子。他当然知道自己叫刀子。他在哈尔哈拉河畔打造各种铁器，包括马蹄铁，然而最出名的还是刀子。他打造刀子总是夜间淬火，很神秘。
蒙古包里的汉子们挪出位子，请他落座，说喝酒。天色暗了，他的心情却晴朗起来，伸手端起大碗喝了一口。烧刀子毕竟是好酒，一路直入肺腑，中途不用倒车。这时蒙古包外面热闹起来，他知道这是马头琴来了。马头琴带来歌声，就是那首好人唱坏人也唱的《天堂》。
蓝蓝的天空，清清的湖水，绿绿的草原。他闭眼听着，很陶醉。奔驰的骏马，洁白的羊群，还有你姑娘。一曲终于唱罢，他睁开眼睛朝着蒙古包外面大声说，还有哈尔哈拉河的刀子。
蒙古包外面没人应声。蒙古包里几个汉子哈哈笑了。一个汉子摇头表示反对，说天堂没有刀子。他想了想，认为这汉子说得对。天堂那么美好，根本用不着刀子。他这样想着，自卑起来。天堂既然不用刀子，我这铁匠还能去天堂吗？不能。他低头喝酒，不说话了。
不声不晌走进来几个姑娘。汉子们立即容光焕发，纷纷笑着腾出座位欢迎她们光临。他知道这是张术旅游公司推出的服务项目——小姐陪酒。他不大适应这种场合，继续低头喝酒。
