Introduction

数字图像处理又称为计算机图像处理，它是指将图像信号转换成数字信号并利用计算机对其进行处理的过程，它是集计算机科学、电子学、信息论、光学、数学、控制论、物理学、心理学和生理学等学科为一体的综合性边缘学科。早在20世纪20年代，图像处理就已应用于改善伦敦和纽约之间海底电缆发送的图片质量，但直到20世纪50年代，数字计算机发展到一定水平后，数字图像处理才真正引起人们的兴趣。此后，数字图像处理的理论和方法进一步完善，逐步形成了一门新兴的学科，应用范围更加广泛。近年来，随着计算机和其他相关技术的迅速发展，数字图像处理已从一个专门的研究领域变成了科学研究和人机界面中的一种普遍应用的工具。
为配合教师教学，帮助学生学习，本书按照电子工业出版社出版的《数字图像处理及MATLAB实现》教材的内容，从基本理论和基本方法出发，深入浅出、理论联系实际、注重学生动手能力的培养。本书对教材的各个章节的知识要点进行了概括，对教材中的习题和思考题给出了参考解答，供学生练习使用。对各章的要点内容给出了实验练习题和对应的MATLAB程序，以帮助学生进行图像处理算法的实践锻炼。书中还列出了相关的思考题，引导学生对实验结果做详细分析，以便学生对所学内容能更深入地理解。
本书第1章由杨杰编写，第2章、第11章由王昱编写，第3～4章由李庆编写，第5～6章由郑林编写，第7章、第12章由许建霞编写，第8～10章由黄朝兵编写。全书由杨杰统稿，李庆和黄朝兵对部分章节程序进行了整理。另外，李俊鹤、韩亚荣、张瑜等参加了部分文字的输入、程序调试、插图和校对工作。在编写本书过程中参考了大量的图像处理文献，作者对这些文献的作者表示真诚的感谢。本书的编写得到了武汉理工大学信息工程学院的大力支持，作者在此表示衷心感谢。
