Author Description

白维国，1964年考入南开大学中文系，1978年考入中国社会科学院研究生院语言系，毕业后留在中国社会科学院语言研究所工作，研究员。研究方向为近代汉语词汇演变，主要著作有《古代小说百科大辞典》(主编之一)、《汉语史通考》(合译)、《金瓶梅词典》《金瓶梅词话校注》(合著)、《红楼梦语言词典》(著者之一)、《中国中世语法史研究》(合译)、《白话语汇研究》(合译)、《现代汉语句典》(主编)、《白话小说语言词典》(主编)、《近代汉语词典》(主编之一)；另有普及读物《红楼百问》等。

Book Abstract

《金瓶梅风俗谭（图文本）》：
新正虽是大节，可是时值晦朔，月亮不露脸儿，在照明不发达的古代，不宜于夜间户外活动，所以基本以家庭为中心开展活动。到正月十五，一年中的第一个望日来到，为群聚的夜晚户外活动提供了自然照明条件，于是中国最热闹的狂欢节日元宵，便自然而然地出现了。
花灯
“星月当空万烛烧，人间天上两元宵。”这是《金瓶梅》第四十二回卷头诗的头两句，又道是“天上元宵，人间灯夕”，“溶溶宝月，灿灿花灯”，元宵总是和花灯连在一起的，所以元宵节又称灯节。
这风俗起自何时？南朝梁简文帝萧纲有《列灯赋》云：“何解冻之嘉月，直蓂荚之盛开。……南油俱满，西漆争燃。苏征安息，蜡出龙川。斜辉交映，倒影澄鲜。”解冻之嘉月，当指春王正月。蓂荚，瑞草，传说月初一始日生一荚，十六日起日落一荚，盛开，正当十五日，可见那时已有正月十五燃灯的活动。
隋代柳或曾呈文奏禁上元夜“鸣鼓聒天，燎炬照地，人戴兽面，男为女服，倡优杂技，诡状异形”之类“非法非道”的民间游娱活动，唐代却得到皇家的批准。韦述《两京新记》载：“正月十五日夜，敕金吾弛禁，前后各一日，以看灯，光若昼日。”验之以隋唐两代“竟夕鱼负灯，彻夜龙衔烛”“火树银花合，星桥铁锁开”“接汉疑星落，依楼似月悬”等元夕诗句，可知元夜张灯从隋唐始已成不可逆转的盛大民间习俗。
宋初，蜀孟初降，太祖赵匡胤以年丰时平，诏开封府更增十七、十八两夕，元宵观灯之期从三夜增加到五夜，而张灯的准备工作实际上从年前就已经开始了。孟元老《东京梦华录》卷六记曰：
正月十五日元宵，大内前自岁前冬至之后，开封府绞缚山棚，立木正对宣德楼。游人已集御街，两廊下奇术异能，歌舞百戏，鳞鳞相切……至正月七日，人使朝辞出门，灯山上彩，金碧相射，锦绣交辉。面北悉以彩结山沓，上皆画神仙故事。或坊市卖药卖卦之人，横列三门，各有彩结，金书大牌：中曰“都门道”，左右曰“左右禁卫之门”。上有大牌曰“宣和与民同乐”。
