Author Description

帕拉宏撒·尤迦南达，出生于印度戈勒克布尔，后毕业于加尔各答大学，并取得文学学士学位，同年正式加入僧团。
1920年，尤迦南达肩负着“平衡人类精神与现代科学文明”的使命，前往美国，展开了为期约30年的瑜伽弘扬生涯，被认为是“近代将此亘古不变的真理法门从印度传至西方社会的圣者”。同年，创办了“自我了悟联谊会”。1924年起开始巡回全美演讲，广授柯瑞雅瑜伽法门。1927年，受当时美国总统卡尔文？柯立芝正式邀请到白宫访问。
