经过复杂而漫长的联系和等待，非常荣幸地获得了每一首诗原作、译著的合计120多项正式授权。接下来，又邀请来自国内、中国台湾地区、日本、美国、英国的70多位画家，为诗集创作了100幅插图。前后历时一年，《给孩子读诗》终于诞生，她的生日是2015年12月24日，平安夜。

《给孩子读诗》中的一百首诗，跨越三千年历史，来自33个国度的100位诗人。这这里，泰戈尔、木心、聂鲁达，谷川俊太郎、胡适、李叔同，普希金、苏轼、史蒂文森，莎士比亚、丰子恺、安徒生……乃至无名的爱斯基摩人，排名并没有先后之分。全书含中国古诗25首，中国近现代作品24首，外国诗歌51首。外国诗歌由39位杰出翻译家提供译本；每一首诗均配有美丽的插图，由世界各地70位画家创作。

罗伯特·史蒂文森：

19世纪后半叶英国伟大的小说家，代表作品有长篇小说《金银岛》、《化身博士》、《绑架》、《卡特丽娜》以及诗集《一个孩子的诗园》等。

谷川俊太郎：

日本当代著名诗人、剧作家、翻译家。出版过《62首十四行诗》《关于爱》《谷川俊太郎诗选》等七十余部诗集，被誉为日本现代诗歌旗手。

巴勃罗·聂鲁达：

智利当代著名诗人，1971年诺贝尔文学奖，代表作有《二十首情诗和一首绝望的歌》、《爱情十四行诗100首》等。

李白：

唐代诗人，代表作有《早发白帝城》、《望庐山瀑布》、《行路难》、《蜀道难》、《将进酒》、《梁甫吟》等多首。

威廉·莎士比亚：

英国文艺复兴时期杰出的戏剧家和诗人，代表作有《十四行诗》、《罗密欧与朱丽叶》、《李尔王》、《哈姆雷特》、《威尼斯商人》等。

普希金：

俄国著名的文学家、现代俄国文学的奠基人。代表作有诗歌《自由颂》、《致大海》、《假如生活欺骗了你》，小说《上尉的女儿》《黑桃皇后》等。

当代青年诗人，代表作有《面朝大海，春暖花开》、《土地》、《海子的诗》等等。

胡适：

20世纪中国著名学者、作家、文学革命领袖，出版中国新文学史上第一部白话诗集《尝试集》。

中国当代著名诗人，代表作为代表诗作《回答》、《一切》、《太阳城札记》等。

赫尔曼·黑塞：

20世纪德国作家、诗人，1946年获诺贝尔文学奖，代表作有《园圃之乐》、《荒原狼》、《东方之旅》、《玻璃球游戏》等。
