2015年是中国航空工业的丰收之年，继C919国产大型客机11月2总装下线后，11月29日中国首次按照国际民航要求自行研制、具有完全自主产权的新一代喷气式支线客机——ARJ21-700正式交付商用。这宣告我国拥有了第一款可以进入航线运营的喷气客机，具备了喷气式民用运输类飞机的研制能力和适航审定能力。

从2003年9月25日ARJ21-700飞机型号合格审定会议算起，到2015年11月29日正式交付航空公司，12年零两个月，一路行来，委实不易。52项极端气象条件实验，54项美国联邦航空局MOA项目审查，3418份符合性验证报告，8220次失速试飞，30748公里环球试飞……，从立项、设计，到试制、试飞，再到生产、交付，几乎每一步都是中国民用航空工业的第一次。
